There once was a man who worked hard all his life. Although quite content with his current situation, he searched on for a hobby. He tried various things but found them to be a tad cumbersome. One day during a visit to a health wizard, it was mentioned obesity had taken over and ailments weren't too far behind. It was difficult but knowing he had young ones leaning on him for every aspect of life, he was determined to make a change. His other half dragged him out for a jog around the block and for the very first time, he ran nonstop for a whole quarter mile before succumbing to exhaustion. Obesity was getting comfortable and he wanted so much to make a run for it; so he did. First he celebrated a successful mile. Then he stretched it out to two miles. He eventually conquered a 5K. Soon enough, he was running double digits. Although obesity was still chasing him, his tenacity to keep moving forward made it nearly impossible for obesity to catch up. He ran every day and when the days began to shorten, he started running into the dark evenings. It was scary not because of ghouls and goblins, but due to unaware folks prancing around in their shiny four wheeled crafts. One time too many he had to make abrupt stops to prevent physical injuries. He found that the night made it difficult for captains of these vehicles to see him clearly. He knew that if he desired to continue this hobby without proper illuminating apparel, something unfavorable would result. He quickly summoned the internet spirits and sure enough stumbled onto these enchanted blinking green orbs. He thought to himself that if he were to attire himself with such magical displays, he would serve to be more visible to navigators of the night. He submitted a trade with haste and received the merchandise in no more than two days. That very evening, he took the orbs for a quick test and was not surprised that he remained visible to all who journeyed in the vicinity. During one of his travels sporting these magical orbs, his other half caught a glimpse whilst maneuvering her craft. She mentioned she thought she had seen a glowing being from another world.     • Loved them...until it was time to change the battery.

Loved these so much that I thought of getting them for everyone I buy gifts. Then came time to change the battery. What a disaster since. Changing the batteries is working with 4 very tiny screws. Make sure you are working in a well lite area as they will roll. Then, figuring out which way to put the batteries in is difficult as the only directions is on the inside mold in grey. Not easy to read. Then, putting them back together they may work. Even if you tested before you put in those annoying screws doesn't mean they will work afterwards. Since I changed the batteries, they work, occasionally. I wear them on a belt on my back. The movement of your body may turn them off. Sometimes, the on switch doesn't stick. So you press it, the light is on. As soon as you remove your finger, it's off. I have taken these appart multiple times to make sure the connections are set. Each time working with those very tiny screws. So, they work great initially. Buy them to use until the battery wears out. Then throw them away. It's really not worth the aggravation after you change the batteries. ... show more

As you can see from the pic, I put these on each side of my pet basket so that the bike would be more visible from the side and to draw attention that there was a pet onboard. I use the flashing mode and it flashes a very bright pink light.While I do have a front light and a tail light I wanted to be more visible to traffic approaching from the side. The bike is a recumbent and so, lower profile. The lights are sturdy and well made. They attach securely and are not bounced off of the bike with riding. Others ratings seemed good (so I bought these), but only one of the two units worked on arrival. Batteries were included and we thought maybe they were dead. The unit has 4 tiny screws to open the back and switch the batteries. The unit comes with a spare set of batteries. We opened the unit (lost a screw), replaced the batteries and tested. Nope no good. I pulled out my multi meter and validated that the batteries were good. Eventually, I tried to put in the batteries in the opposite polarity to what the markings show. Voila! The unit worked. The internal electronics appear to be machine assembled. How could an electronic part be put in backwards so that the batteries need to be reversed? Seem like a nice unit, just poorly built (not tested). If someone had tested the unit before packaging they would have noticed and fixed it. Update: Whole Human Products provided replacement units that worked right out of the box. I appreciate their follow up and resolution to the original units. ... show more

Overall these safety lights are what I expected. Good quality except that on one of the lights all the LEDs do not light up. Each light has 5 LEDs. Out of the box, one works fine while only 4 LEDs are working on the other. I like the lights and would have given four stars but I'm not sure that more LEDs will not fail on the defective light. The fully operational light works great but I'm just not sure that I would order these again. Update: So I have to give BIG Props to Mike (Owner) @ Whole Human Products!! After reading my post, he emailed me and said my replacement lights were on the way!... Must admit I was not expecting that! As I said, I really like these lights... and now I have a whole new appreciation for them and Whole Human Products!!... Good product + Great Customer Service = 5 Stars! Thanks Mike!... We'll definitely be doing business again! Final Update: That was fast. I received my new lights today and they work just fine. Don't want to sound crazy excited about a couple safety lights... but I am excited about the Whole Human Customer Service experience. Great Job Mike!
