I appreciate that this lighting system plugs into a standard wall outlet without any need to splice or set up any special wiring. These six separate light strips all connect to a centralized power source that can be operated with a separately attached sensor. While extensions for each of the strips is provided, the strips cannot connect end-to-end and must each come back to the power supply separately. This is both a benefit and a hindrance, depending on your use for this set. I am using it for a multi-shelf display case and for that it is ideal. The strips do not have to be recessed, but if that is how you want to use them, they are thick enough that they will not get lost in their crevice. The lights themselves are the perfect temperature for my display, emitting a warm, mid-level white that accentuates without being overly intense. The attached adhesive strips are impressive and do not remove easily. I had to re-place one strip and it was difficult to remove yet still stayed pretty solidly when I set it back up, and that is impressive. I suggest a little planning prior to setting up this system; making sure to keep the source reachable from each extension is key, especially if you want the cords to blend into the background. Overall this seems a little pricey for the setup but it does what it says it does and several weeks after install it is still going strong.

Overall, this LLTOP LED recessed lighting kit is really great. They’re easy to install and to just stick on to the surface where you want to place them and the adhesive is good quality and they stay firmly in place. They also look great, assuming you want them at full brightness all the time and like the warm light color. This is the only downside—they’re static in terms of brightness and were a bit brighter than I expected. I installed them as lighting along a staircase, so brighter than expected wasn’t a problem for me and I don’t have any particular need to dim them or adjust the brightness or color of the lighting where I installed them, so I’m not deducting a star for this, but if I were using these in a different context or location, I could see that being a pain point, so I wanted to point it out for others to be aware. Overall, I’m really happy with these though. They were easier to set up than I thought they would be honestly, and they’re a great value for the price, especially considering they made a daunting DIY project easier than expecting.

I used these under my kitchen cupboards. They were a quick and easy install. I used the adhesive and they held tight and good to the wood. They have a bright but warm light that does light up the whole counter area. Made well with quality materials and function perfect every time. Light is warm and spreads nicely. Now the gripes.. I didn't like that you cannot change color on these. also you cannot dim them. Above the counter they are perfect but if used in a theater room some color options and ability to dim would have been great. The do not have a memory and once shut off or unplugged you need to reset to your liking. Overall I do like these lights but at the price point they could use a few more user features.
