It didnt fit the way i expected it to but it turned out pretty neat. Had to trim the clips at the back though because they were not wide enough for my Subaru Legacy. Aside from that, its perfect.

I bought these to go over a set of 3" projectors, which the ad claimed they would fit, 'with some modifications'. Apparently what they meant by, 'some modifications' is, "Just throw it in the trash and build one out of a painted Solo cup." The ID is 2.25". I could cut it down and put it in front of the lens, but why would I buy a 3" lens only to cut out 3/4 of the outside of the thing? If you buy a mini, this would probably work.
