Six years ago I bought my first LED bulb, a 9 watt 3000 lumen bulb, as bright as a 100 watt Halogen bulb. Only used it in my bedroom lamp because I didn't want to use it in my overhead chandelier because it was three times the weight of a Halogen bulb. On a lark I ordered the 13 watt LED 5000 lumen bulbs. To my surprise they had come down in weight close to the Halogen bulb weight. So I just put one LED in my kitchen chandelier and what a difference just one LED bulb made in brightness. When I replace the other two I'm going to need sunglasses, Lol. Seriously though, these are fantastically bright and will light up your kitchen, bathroom or dark basement. I highly recommend them. ... show more

The quality of interior light is so important to mood and mental health. With soft-white bulbs, everything I look at for over half the year appears dim and dirty. It probably is not, but imagine a life of drabness and lack of color? I love the white quality of these bulbs. I did not have any troubles w/DOA bulbs BUT they did identify circuit problems with electrical wiring and got my electrician over to id and fix some serious problems with electrical wiring! Rather than assume defects in new bulbs, I would encourage buyers to check a bit further to see if your wiring needs some professional attention. ... show more
