  • I am very happy with that red light therapy light bulb.
Style: 54W Class Color: Combo
The light is great and I have no hesitation to recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and powerful LLLT solution. My only metaphysical problem with LLLT in general is to be able to be sure and to prove that it helped me out. This is why I have set the pain relief note to 3 stars out of 5. In other words, I can not swear nor be sure that I got better because of the red light. Maybe it would have been exactly the same without red light... or not. That is up to you to judge but one thing is sure and that is that this is a great light to work with so if you want to try LLLT, I can only recommend you to use a light like this. If that does not help you, I believe that there is no other red light on earth that will make any difference :). ... show more

  • Excellent for arthritis and inflammation
Style: 54W Class Color: Near Infrared 850nm
I am in severe pain as I wait for a hip replacement. I also have FM, MCAS and severe inflammation in my muscles and joints. The 54W 850nm near infrared bulb is perfect for using on my body parts for pain. I call it "the magic light bulb". Remember, it doesn't work on the color black. I put it directly through clothing on different parts of my leg, hip, pelvis and get immediate and noticeable results within an hour. It does have a fan in it, but it still gets very warm/hot, so be careful to protect the skin with a towel, clothing or a blanket. I used a photography socket to electrify and then a cheap drumstick to use as a handle to move it around as I lay on the couch to recover from the day. I've been using this bulb for about 3 years now with great success. It was one of my doctors that had me try it out at his office first. I'm able to be off all pain relievers because of this! ... show more

  • Bought this for my Security Cameras!
Style: 24W Class Color: Near Infrared 850nm
You can see in my security camera image this light shines narrow and FAR! The furthest trees behind my shed are like 150-200 feet away from the IR light source, I have no other lights out by this camera, only two of these 850nm (near infrared) lights. One pointing by my shed, the other to the right of this camera image. You can see the reflection in my car door of the two lights. These lights ARE NOT weather proof, but if mounted in an enclosed fixture under an eve or something, they are fine. I have had one of these two for a few years now, running 24-7, I only recently put them on a sunrise/sunset switch. The fixture I used is found on Amazon as well. I included a photo of the fixture if interested. ... show more

  • Great affordable 660nm red light, BUT USE THE RIGHT LAMP/SOCKET TO SECURE IT!
Style: 54W Class Color: Deep Red 660nm
UPDATE from a not-electrician: Not the fault of the bulb, but rather a practical/logistical issue. A couple uses in - same lamp. So I managed to trip the circuit with this and the fireworks left a nice burnt pattern on my cream colored bedspread. So. Here's some free advice. This is a VERY HEAVY bulb to be screwed into a regular socket. When you put it in a downward-facing floor lamp (as is logical if you want to shine this on a body part while laying down) -- it will put considerable pressure on the socket (as per, uh, gravity). Today when I turned it on for my two minute routine, it didn't. Turn on. So I tried removing and replacing, etc. etc (a regular bulb worked so it wasn't the lamp....etc.) When I screwed this red light back in, I tried to tighten it securely (saw the socket shift inside the housing) and that's when the fireworks erupted. Fortunately the lamp socket is in a metal housing but even so, a few sparks flew out and landed on my bedspread, carpet, computer, etc. Yep. So that happened. My guess is the weight of the bulb facing downward, over night, meant the contacts were no longer tight in the socket? And when I tightened it, I created another problem by twisting the socket itself and wires touched that shouldn't touch? Don't know. HERE'S THE FREE ADVICE: 1) Whatever socket you are screwing this into -- abide by the annoying rules and disconnect the power first like an intelligent person. 2) But even more importantly, I will only screw this into a socket I can HOLD IN MY HAND (i.e., a handheld socket attached to a cord). Otherwise, you are screwing this VERY HEAVY LIGHT into a socket which, if not totally secure/stable, is going to rotate/shift/jiggle whatever -- beyond your control. When you add the weight of this bulb to the mix -- fireworks potential. From here on out, I think I'll only use this red light in handheld sockets that I can directly manipulate. Or. I might return it. Not sure. It was a wee bit scary. Again, not the fault of the bulb, but USE OF this bulb requires some forethought. I've seen others opine it is good to use in "any lamp" you have around the house. Not my experience. ********************************************************************************************************************************* Nice that they give the specs. Would be even better if this info was in the Amazon description..... Hope the info in pics helps others! ... show more

  • Puts out enough power to achieve relief from injury pain
Style: 54W Class Color: Combo
I discovered that red light therapy was effective for me in dealing with shoulder injuries after a car accident by going to a "rejuvenation" spa and buying 10 minutes of exposure at a time in their $12,000 device made by a company called Joovv. I did my research and learned that the power of the device results in the "Irradiance" level, which is how the studies measure the effectiveness. This product is one of the few that actually states the irradiance levels it will deliver ("Irradiance: 89.3 mW/cm² (6" distance); 46.0 mW/cm² (12" distance)). This product puts out enough power to achieve relief from injury pain and seems to be accelerating my healing. I recommend some sort of Architect's lamp fixture - not the recommended "clip" or "cord" products that I saw, because the bulb and its built in fan are pretty heavy. To hold it in place over the area of treatment, you need something with strong springs made of metal. ... show more

  • When it worked, it worked!
Style: 54W Class Color: Combo
I bought one of these back in 2020. The few times I used it, it worked like a charm! Unfortunately, after maybe 4-5 service hours the deep red half sparked and stopped working and the IR flickers. I'm not sure why, and even after that I still think it was worth the money as it really helped me when I did need it. ... show more

The heat is intense, but feels good to the skin. Would recommend to keep warm and for other beauty regimes.
