I am not sure if they are a true 250w equivalent or not, but the are very bright. Placed them in the exterior fixtures by the entrance doors and the really light up the area. Best part is, they are NOT the super bright white light that blinds you when you try to walk into the house. The light is a softer, slightly yellow light that does not hurt the eyes so badly. Also, the size is about the overall length of a 60w incandescent bulb so they should fit most places. ... show more

these are AMAZING for the price. WOW so bright my neighbor who lives far with a huge fence in between says how bright it is and complains when i have it facing down. The dog needs it to see out back and regular bulbs broke all the time. These last so long and bright.
