Features

  • HIGH-EFFICIENCY. The MAXISUN MF2000 is a great high-efficiency grow light. It is a perfect option if you are looking to light a 2x4 space, add a light to your current space, or use it for clones, seedlings, or mothers. Although it draws only about 230 watts, it gets superior efficiency. It is an ideal LED grow light from seeds to harvest.
  • TOP QUALITY. The MF2000 is a quantum board style fixture with top-end Samsung and Mean Well components. It uses a total of 700 Samsung LM281B+ diodes. For a 230 watts fixture, this is an excellent number of high-efficiency diodes. It uses 3500K warm white, 5000K neutral white, a few 660nm deep red, and 730nm. It is an excellent full spectrum for vegetating and flowering indoor plants.
  • UNIQUE FEATURE. Using a remote to set the same brightness (0%-100%) or different brightness for multiple lights by grouping is a terrific idea to provide convenience for large-scale growth. The daisy chain function keeps your power sockets free and power cords managed.
  • SUPERIOR REFLECTOR. Using an aluminum reflector reduces the loss of light, which ensures plants can absorb more than 90% of the light energy to achieve 30% higher yields. Mounted on top of the reflector, there is a separate 15mm thick ribbed aluminum heat sink. The heat sink helps to manage the heat, and the MF2000 maintains a cooler surface temperature.
  • 3 YEARS WARRANTY. MAXSISUN is so confident in our cutting-edge MF Series's performance that we offer a full 90 days money-back guarantee plus a three (3) years limited warranty. Value for money guaranteed, buy MAXSISUN products, and worry-free today.

  • Looks good so far..actually better than expected
I have a mars 2000 and I just bought this 2000. I paid less for this light and as much as I do support Mars Hydro as a top notch company. I may be leaning towards this as a better light for less money. I will update in a month.

  • Looking for a Good Grow Light? Buy This One !!!
Size: MF2000
I've done your homework for you... If you need a cost effective, state-of-the-art, high quality grow light (for a ~ 2' x 4' area), stop soul searching and purchase the Maxsisun MF2000. In my opinion, it's pretty much the best combination of price, performance, and quality available anywhere. I have numerous HID, flourescent, and LED grow lights. The MF2000 will effectively replace a 400 watt HID, and will optimally cover a ~2' x 4' footprint. At 230 watts, it will consume about half the electricity (and, produce roughly half the heat) while doing so. As a moderately driven LED array, it should do this full time for about five years (which is a long time, measured in replacement HID HPS and MH bulbs) So, forget the cheap purple LED's, T5 fluorescents, COB's, etc. If you're interested in professional results, either use old school HID lighting (slightly cheaper, upfront), or go straight to one of the very latest LED quantum board lamps (such as the MF2000). Trust me. UPDATE: I've now put the MF2000 into service. Here are a few tips: - About the Remote Controller: Reassuringly, the MF2000 will work just fine with a conventional (24hr on/off) timer. And, the light intensity (eg, 50%) initially selected via remote will continue under subsequent on/off timer control (eg, 18hr/6hr). So, set intensity once and forget it - About Initiating the MF2000: Simply press and hold the remote control "ID" button while you click the red lamp switch to "On"; lamp will blink for 2 seconds; now release the "ID" button and you're done - all the remote functions will now work (the MF2000 instructions are a bit fuzzy here, but its actually dead simple) - About Hanging the Lamp: The MF2000 comes with a (four wire) hanging harness and a couple of rope ratchets. All good, except this combination uses up a lot (~20") of vertical space (which is at a premium in a 5' high tent). Solution: Use just two of the hanging wires (one per side), forming a loop between hanger points. Clip the included rope ratchet carabiner around the loop and hang as usual. (Maxsisun also makes an excellent 2'x4'x60" grow tent - ideal for the MF2000; see my review) - About Different Light for Vegging vs Flowering: Short answer - the MF2000 will work just fine for both. And - importantly - your ability to smoothly vary intensity from 10% - 100% means you can use the MF2000 right from seedling to final bud finishing. Combined with varying height above canopy via rope ratchets, adjustable intensity makes the MF2000 a simple and sophisticated grow lighting solution. (Technically, the MF2000 produces an extended light spectrum which pretty much encompasses all stages of plant life cycle needs, just like normal sunlight. So, no need for "red/blue" switches or MH/HPS HID bulb changes). (Thanks for reading. Hope all of this info helps you. Buying grow lights can be confusing. BTW, I purchased the MF2000 in normal fashion; this is an unsolicited review) ... show more

  • A lot of bang for the buck.
I prefer HPS/MH lights over any LED light. But, this light is a close second. My medical grow is flourishing under this full spectrum light. In fact, I recently bought a second 2000w for my other tent. It does put out some heat. My basement is usually about 64f and inside the tent with this light on it is about 75f at canopy. Not horrible hot, but there is some heat. ***Update*** I decided to do a side by side comparison with same strain and different lights. I used 2 of the Maxisun 2000 watt lights at 18 inches from canopy vs 200 watt HPS at 40 inches from canopy. The HPS crushed it. Not even close. Considering the 2 of these Maxisun lights cost more than a single HPS light and use 400watts for the both of them combined. Just go with HPS unless the heat is really a concern. ... show more

  • Plant is loving it, so am I
I was initially concerned about heat since some reviewers said that was an issue. I have this up as high as I can in my tent and so far have not noticed any issues with overheating. I am running an exhaust fan and filter 24x7, though, so there is continuous airflow in my tent. I switched to this light for my 2x2 grow tent when I switched to flower. The flowers are looking really good, and I have a whole lot less migraines from the blurple light I had in place before. 150 watts is a lot for a 2x2 tent, but the only issues I've run into is a bit of light burn on one cola that is just a couple of inches from the light. Pretty much normal. It was kind of an impulse buy, but I'm quite happy with it. Update: Got some very dense flower from this light. Another update: I wound up with 105g of dried flower from this 150 watt light in a 2x2 tent. I'm starting a new grow using this light from start to finish, so we'll see how it goes in a few months. ... show more

  • Good Value/Heat Varies Unit to Unit
I purchased 2 of the 2000 series lights. One of the lights base and driver runs noticeably hotter than the other identical light. Such a difference that I can lay my hand on one and not the other. I'm in between a 3 and 4 star for this product. The price point and the light output make it a 4.5-5 star product but clearly quality issues from unit to unit. Why not put some thermal interface material between the lights and the aluminum to help evenly distribute the heat? There are clearly contact issues causing the unit's to run hotter than others. ... show more
