In my opinion, this makes a great bedlamp! I can direct the light where I want it and how I want it. I can make it bright to see clearly in my corner of the bedroom, or I can make it dimmer when I don't want things bright. I could also easily rotate the head away from me so it's not shining in my eyes, which I do a lot. If I could say anything negative about it is the on off sensor light shines with the blue light up towards the ceiling all the time up so I cover the base with an index card when I sleep.. Also, when I adjust the light settings or put the card on the base, I sometimes inadvertently activate the brightness setting and surprises us just at the moment we are falling asleep.. It's just a moment annoyance but for those reasons I gave it four stars. I like that it has a night light feature for if I want to make a bathroom trip in the middle of night. I like the ease of operation and all the features so I'm overall happy with the light. It's a really cool light! ... show more

Great lamp I got it for my office at work. It does the job. I get headaches from the lights so I have them turned off and it’s a tad dark. This helps a lot. It’s a good price and just a nice modern lamp. Would be good for a night light next to your bed too.
