I most like that when the stand is up at its highest position, I am well lit without visible glare on my glasses, and the stand is tall enough to easily clear the top of my 32" monitor. I am in meetings quite often where I'm expected to be on camera. My home office has a window near my desk that I have to keep mostly covered with blackout shades to avoid glare -- both on my monitor and on my glasses. I have been using a floor lamp behind my monitor for ambient lighting, but I look washed out unless the lamp is turned up on high and I prefer dimmer room lighting. This light, on it's lowest setting, makes me look clear and sharp on camera when the ambient lighting is dim. I turn it up a bit midday when the ambient lighting coming in my window is strongest. I like that the power supply is US 110V instead of consuming a USB port. I like that I can use the power switch built into the cord to turn it off save electricity without impacting the brightness setting. However, that causes it to change back to a default color temp setting. The inconvenience of that behavior makes the color temp options mostly not useful to me. I only use them when I want to look my best, not for routine meetings. I particularly don't like that using the remote control buttons to jump between the three main color temperatures also causes brightness to jump up to maximum. I should be able to jump from one temp to another without losing my brightness setting. Using the temp up/down buttons is tedious. That wouldn't be a problem if the light preserved the temp settings when powered off.

These lights are a great buy for the price. Great light output. Easy to adjust the settings on the remote…. But…. I have to return them because they also turn off my other led lights in the office or change their colors whenever I adjust using the remote. Too bad… almost a great fit if it didn’t affect my other led backlights.

I purchased this, along with a different type of light to use in my YouTube videos to increase the quality of my lighting. I got this light to use as a key light and so far it works great. It's got three different styles of light setting - I can't think of a better word. One setting is cool, the other is warm, and I can't remember what the third one is. You can also control the brightness. And you can rotate the light around so that it's horizontal or vertical. I have it attached to the desk beside me so that it hits me at a 45 degree angle for key light function.

Update: on several occasions, I've had problems with something (not sure what, sunlight?) interfering with the IR remote receiver and randomly changing the light settings. IR remote control is something that should just work in 2024. I'm using this as a desk keylight--it comes with a clamping stand for a desk. For this usage, it's REALLY BRIGHT! Like, I'm using it on the minimum setting and sometimes wish I could go a bit lower. But overall it's a great value. The remote works fine (though on mine, the color temperature buttons are reversed, such that 3000K applies the most cool-toned color). The biggest downside I think is the coarseness of brightness and color adjustments. There are only 11 steps total on the brightness and color temperature scales, so you're not going to be able to dial it in precisely.

super happy with this light, at the moment, i’m using this to shine light on my 3d printer, and it’s perfect. but it does have a standard tripod screw on the bottom of it so i can hook it up as a key light whenever i need to. the remote works perfect even if i’m across the room and pointing it in the opposite direction.
