We needed a new mattress for our daughter as her bed was about 13 years old. She is 5'1" and 130 pounds and fits well on the bed. The mattress came with a tool to help open the plastic without damaging the mattress, but it was not as sharp as we thought it should be and we struggled to use it (que my pocket knife that my wife wasn't happy to see me use). The mattress inflated and looked ready to use, but we allowed 48 hours for it to do its thing before putting sheets on it or allowing our daughter to get on it. The bed itself works well for our daughter, but the sides really compress when my wife or myself sits on the bed to read with her. She remains perfectly fine in the middle of the bed and our displacement of the mattress doesn't seem to affect her.

I've been using a foam mattress for the past 7 years and while it was great at first, it has been giving be a ton of back problems and I've noticed I've been tossing and turning a lot more throughout the night. What I really like about the Lechepus mattress is it's firmness. This mattress has just the right amount of firmness, without compromising the softness of a mattress. Having slept on this mattress for over 30 days, I can confidently say that this mattress has relieve me of my back aches, and I'm tossing/turning a lot less during the night. Not only do I feel more restful after waking up, but it doesn't feel hot when I'm sleeping on this mattress. It has made a world of difference for me, and it's a product I definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded. This mattress is amazing. I started sleeping on a sofa bed because my senior dog was getting really scared being upstairs at night. I’ll do anything for him, so I got a sofa bed and we sleep in our “campsite” every night. It’s been 2 years though and the sofa bed started to kill my back. (I'm a back sleeper). I’d wake up with horrible pain that wouldn’t go away throughout the day and that scared me. I knew it was time to get a real mattress on my sleep space. The “mattress” that came with the sofa bed was a super flimsy pad that’s just a few inches thick. So this mattress arrived and I immediately unboxed it. It comes with a razor blade so you can slice the plastic easily.. it’s fun to watch the mattress expand like a biscuit! (see my video). You’ll want to get something to reinforce it if you don’t have a box spring. I got some plywood and made a DIY slat platform for now. It's a cheap solution, but there are more aesthetic options out there too, if you need them. Now for my sleep: I get more deep sleep and toss and turn ALOT less. My back feels so much more supported. I don’t wake up in pain, which is a blessing. Also, if you sleep with a partner: this mattress doesn't move alot when you get up! What sold me on this mattress versus others: I like that it’s CertiPure and OEKO-TEX certified with no formaldehyde. I spend a lot of time sleeping, so there’s no way I want my skin in contact with that stuff. (I do sleep naked.) So yes. If I could recommend this to a friend, I totally would. 10/10, it’s been life changing already. It has a 10(!!) year warranty too, so you’ve got nothing to lose. Just get it! PS: if you're looking for a good sheet set for this mattress, check out "DOZ bamboo sheets" here on Amazon. They're a perfect fit and so comfy.
