I’m using this jacket paired with the leggings for welding and has definitely given me plenty of protection . Jackets pretty cool being able to remove the lower section . I’d probably pick a size bigger than u normally would . At least I wish I would have . For the money I doubt u can find better .

My older welding jacket is simply too hot to work in the Summer sun. The back on this is cut out, so your sweat has somewhere to dissipate. It makes it a bit more of a challenge putting it on, but it is worth it. If a breeze is coming from behind you, which is helpful when welding, it is quite comfortable. I think it is well constructed, and offers full-frontal protections (including neck). I wear a 3x in most coats and clothing. Sleeve length is often a problem. This didn't offer up any surprises. The first thing my welding instructor commented on is that this is a good jacket but it does not protect the whole upper body. He recommended that I get a welding jacket that would cover my back as well. So, the jacket (apron) design is a big disadvantage. After wearing it twice in welding classes, I notice the buttons on the chest, nearing the armpit would unbutton themselves if I moved a lot. I am concerned about this and decided to return this jacket because it could expose some chest areas without me becoming aware of it. I weld a lot for my job and needed a jacket that wasn't as heavy as my full jacket for the summer. I got a medium and the sleeves were a little long for me, but folded them and the snaps work just fine. I love the jacket and as long as it lasts, I plan to use it.
