I did a lot of research before buying from this vendor, and the quality is likely superior for the following reasons: Metal propeller. Other products have a plastic prop and include a backup one, which is a red flag to me Propeller protector. That seems like a nice add-on Adjustable handle. This upgrade works very well. 4-stroke. Allowed on more lakes, less pollution, no mixing oil and gas Other reviews mentioned customer service, I had a question and they answered promptly and thoroughly It is also taller than some other engines in the same price range Nothing has broken and it runs great so far! It's definitely a budget product, so I don't expect it to work as well as a $1000 Honda motor, but it gets the job done! Edit after a summer of (ab)use: The propeller protector broke off. The engine also randomly skips or sputters, so I'm guessing it just needs to get tuned up or something, which I won't do. I literally dumped this engine in the water a few times and it still runs fine. The throttle spring is now loose so sometimes the engine won't slow down completely. Overall it's very reliable and won't break down, which is very nice to have with a four-stroke in this price range. If you aren't as concerned about reliability, you could look for a similar price range for a used four-stroke that would require more maintenance, and probably give better performance. If you want something cheap and reliable with almost zero maintenance, this is your motor. It's so nice to have this new reliable motor that's cheap enough to not worry if I destroy it.

This is a great little engine for our dinghy. Starts right up and not heavy to lift (that was important for us) . Pushes the dinghy around just fine. I even got it running again after I dropped and submerged it in salt water (don't ask and not that I recommend doing that). Also, great customer service.

Pushes my 12ft plastic Jon boat 4mph witch isn't bad it's kinda loud but not to bad you can still hear your surroundings but my rating comes into play because the motor doesn't start spinning the propeller until you are at almost half throttle and the cage that goes around it is complete junk I had to bend part of it to even get it on properly and then the first time I used the motor the cage broke at the brackets so I'm order to use it again id have to have it welded back together

The media could not be loaded. This little motor is great, super tough. I’ve had it out in large bays/ estuaries. Rivers, bayous and ponds and she keeps going. Even got caught in a heavy rainfall and she kept going. The little coil pack that attaches to the spark plug is fragile tho, it broke but the seller was nice enough to send another one. I like this little engine, it’s been awesome!

Used once so far. Adding oil to lower gear box is very tricky. Prop cage is useless and flimsy, broke very quickly before putting in water and dont thinknit would have stayed on. Motor starts and runs fine. Easy to start withbchoke and when primed. Power is ok. Says 4 hp, but based out power specs, likely closer to 2.5. Max speed i got was 4.5 mph, but pushing 2000lbs (sailboat kicker) Ran bit higher than mid power 4mph, and used half tank going about 4 miles. Not too bad. Turning up power (revs) didnt equal more speed in my application, no need tobrun wide open for an extra .3-.4 mph. Biggest issue, shaft is barely long enough for my needs. Barely. And the spin it around for reverse isnt ideal and tricky. But decided to keep. Only reason its better than my 55lb trolling motor is no range anxiety, little quicker, little more power.

I bought this motor without any idea how good it was or how reliable the company was, but decided to try it and am glad I did. The most important thing I appreciated about this company (CUKUSIN) is their GREAT customer service! It did take a while for the motor to arrive, and after I put it together, I felt it could start a little easier and the throttle acceleration should engage sooner and be more responsive. I contacted the company and received an immediate reply to my issues which led to the service department sending me 2 videos on how to deal with my issues. By following the guidance and direction I received and making a few adjustments, the motor performed much better as I expected it should! I am quite pleased and expect it will run and perform as well when I try it on a boat in the water (it has been raining for 2 weeks straight here)! I do feel very confident if I have any problems in the future, customer service will definitely be there for help!

Use this on a 10’ dinghy to get me down the river into the bar to crab. It’s always started within two pulls and barely takes any gas at all.
