My name is Richard Miller and I a DSA Approved Driving Instructor. I have been tested to ensure that I have the knowledge and skills needed to teach people how to drive in the UK. There are plenty of books, including the official ones, that tell you what you need to be able to do. There aren't many that I could find that tell you how to do it. This book will show you everything you need to know to be able to pass your driving test. It shows you what you need to be able to do and it also describes how to do it, including: Moving Off And Stopping Turning And Emerging Clutch Control Changing Gear Hazard Perception Roundabouts Independent Driving How To Do Manoeuvres and much more.. When learning to drive some people pick it up quickly and others take a little more time. Everyone learns at different speeds and when it comes to getting the message across, some extra reading material is extremely valuable. Reading a book at home, or on the bus can really help you to understand the concepts behind learning to drive. This book was originally written for my pupils, to help them better understand the things I was teaching them on their driving lessons. The response from my own pupils has been really positive so I thought it would be a good idea to publish the book online. I hope this book will help more people to pass their driving tests and become safer drivers for life. The book contains a comprehensive guide to everything that I would teach a pupil if they came to me to pay for driving lessons. It follows the latest teaching methods outlined by the DSA. The book is crammed with lots of information about driving skills you will need to master in order to pass your driving test and is set out in a way that is easy to understand. All this information may be too much to take in on your driving lessons alone so the book is a great way of taking in the knowledge. You should use this book to support your driving lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor. Referring to this book before and after your driving lesson will help cement the theory in your mind – ultimately saving you time and money on driving lessons. This is a proven way of learning the skills you need to pass your driving test.
