This is our FOURTH baby monitor that we have purchased on Amazon, and I can finally say that we found one that works great and is an excellent value. The first two baby monitors that we purchased were made by "Good Baby" and "Eufy" had problems were they FROZE in the middle of the night. Our baby was crying hysterically for who knows how long, because the audio was stopped, and the video was frozen on these two old monitors from Amazon. Have to returning those, the next monitor we got was the "infant optics pro" monitor, which cost $200, and has issues with video quality, as well as with the temperature reading. It definitely was not worth $200... Finally, we purchased this monitor by LeapFrog. This is a well-built monitor, with an excellent camera, which you can control remotely. There's also a color night vision, which really is just a low light camera, so if it's too dark it doesn't work, but either way, if using that camera or the regular night vision, the video quality is crisp and clear. This monitor also has the best range out of all the monitors we tried. Our house is old and has lead in the walls, but this monitor is able to get past that better than any of the others that we tried. There are LEDs that light up on the side when the baby is cry, so you can see the crying even if your audio is low and the LCD screen is turned off. The temperature monitor is accurate to a 10th of a degree, which is the best we found out of any of the monitors, and also, a humidity meter is shown as well. The few minor shortcomings of this monitor are in my opinion related to the volume control. To adjust the volume, you first have to press a separate volume button, then press up and down on some arrow keys that normally control the camera position. I just wish that there were dedicated up and down volume buttons. Secondly, when the screen is off, and the volume is mute completely, there's no indication via LEDs or any other feature to remind you that the monitor is muted, aside from when the baby is crying and those LEDs light up on the side. Aside from these minor issues, this is an excellent baby monitor, and after testing several others that are very popular on Amazon, I would recommend this to anybody to monitor their baby. ... show more

I’ve had 2 vtech cameras that cost over 100$ for each and this leap frog camera is better than both of them! The color noght vision is amazing! The picture quality is the best I’ve seen. The 8x zoom is such a great touch. The parent unit is so easy to navigate too. Installation took maybe 10 minutes. The night light on the camera works great and I love that I can adjust the brightness of the nightlight. 2 way talk feature is clear whereas other cameras I’ve had have been scratchy and distorted sounding. The parent unit is sturdy feeling which is great because the problem I had with my last camera was the antenna broke but I haven’t even needed to lift the antenna on this one. This is the BEST monitor ever and I’ve tried several. You cannot compete with this image quality. I can tell the details of my infant perfectly. It’s on the wall mounted and I can see my toddler in her bed and my baby in her crib. It tells you the temp and humidity with such accuracy. The parent unit is STOUT. I mean this thing feels super sturdy and I don’t fear my toddler dropping it. The range reaches my shop which is easily 1000feet from the camera. The motion and sound sensitivity is STRONG but you can adjust it. This makes me feel so much better about my kiddos being safe. If you need a reason to buy this one, let this be it. My motorola VM36 died after two years and I’ve been looking for something with the same features if not better. Let me just say I finally found what I was looking for! Nice looking monitor about the size of an iPhone 13 pro max. Picture is nice and clear. Panning and zoom ability with wide angle lens which is a bonus for when he’s old enough to play in his room alone. Comes with a wall mount which was necessary because I hang the cam right above my baby’s crib. FYI the camera doesn’t pan up so the wall mount helps. The price is pretty decent compared to all these other monitors. The temperature is more accurate than any Motorola monitors; those were about 10 degrees off lol. Not to mention it checks the humidity, maybe for when it’s winter and the heaters on? There’s a night light but I don’t use it. My baby has a ton of lights going on already but cool feature if you do use it. There’s good sounds I personally use the white noise. Good for babies that are sensitive to outside noise. The cons are really minimal and nit picky. I question why the buttons are organized in such way. The auto turn off feature isn’t adjustable. And I wish it had the time. Why is there never the time on these things? That’s about it. I just got this so we’ll see the longevity of it in a couple months. This baby monitor is worth every penny. I paid more for the baby monitor we had before this one. And it was awful. Literally had to keep it plug up to the charger. Picture quality sucked and the rage was awful. With this monitor I can speak to my two year old If I need too. I’m able to play with my other kids outside while she is all the way upstairs napping and never have to worry about it dying or loosing rage and not hearing her wake up. And to beat it all the picture is so clear even zoomed in. Definitely recommend!! ... show more

The night vision is honestly the best out of the many baby monitors I have used in the past. I chalk up the terrible battery life to be caused by good picture quality and poor battery life. Great range of motion too. I recomend putting the camera on a horizontal surface rather than hung up. Better picture quality that way! ... show more
