Great little umbrella, it’s pretty sturdy and holds up well in the rain. Folds down easily, smoothly. It’s small and compact, which was why I originally picked this one. It’s also cute which is always a plus!

With a press of a button, this pretty umbrella springs open; with another press of the same button on the handle, the umbrella canopy springs shut, but still fully extended. Then you have to exert more than ordinary muscle power to get it closed. Well, that can be a problem because the umbrella is wet if you are using it for rain rather than sun canopy, and using force can shake off water. For me I have to brace the bottom of the handle in my diaphragm and pull the cover with both hands down the shaft, especially struggling towards the finish to get it to clip firm in place. This would not be good for my elderly mother, and, for me, I don't like having to brace the umbrella on my clothes to pull it shut, so that is the only issue. You can feel the quality of the umbrella that it is so strong it takes some extra strength to pull shut. Now I know that little matching case is supposed to be slipped over it to help contain the water, but still takes strength to pull close. Also this is too big for a normal purse or fanny pack. I would say it's a standard full compact umbrella. I like that it's full because when it rains I want full coverage, and this provides it. The design is beautiful; the white and blue color variation is trendy. The umbrella is sturdy and highly protective of the rain. However, I have a bit of an issue opening this umbrella, it doesn't open smoothly for me.
