I'm not the most experienced paddler however, I spent a fair amount of time researching and checking out paddles before I purchased one. I had looked at several highly rated aluminum and fiberglass paddles however, I kept being drawn to the aluminum. I'm quite happy with the weight of the paddle. The fit between the 2 pieces is also very good, there is absolutely no wiggle which is something that really bothered me about my other paddles. The length (234 cm) seems perfect for me, I'm 6'1" and my boat is 28.5" wide so, I am generally right at either the top or low end of either the 230 or 240 cm paddles. The blade design and size also seems to be somewhere in the middle between a high angle and a low angle paddle but, certainly leaning more towards the low angle. Personally being new, I was not sure which way to go so, I appreciate the middle ground. My only complaint is that there is no grips on the paddle but, I've noticed that most paddles don't come with them so, I'm not too upset about it. A very nice bonus is that this paddle includes a nice long paddle leash. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and this paddle should be a really great entry level paddle for me!

This paddle is a huge upgrade from the cheap ones. The adjustable length is awesome and really aids in Performance. It's not too heavy and is easy to use. For the money it's worth it.

I have and adjustable that at its longest is 230 cm. My new kayak is just a little too wide for the old paddle to work well. So I got this longer paddle. It is about 7 3/4" longer and works perfectly. It being aluminum also makes it much lighter. I'm not sure I like the three-piece design, but it seems to be tight. I like the fact you can offset the blades. The blades are the same size and shape as my other paddle with very little deflection. It came with a paddle leash that I don't really need (I already have one that I like well). This is a decent affordable paddle for those on a budget, or just trying out the kayak world.

I have not had a chance to use this on the water yet. But I am impressed by it - especially compared to the paddle that came with my board. I sit more than I stand so I needed a dual paddle, and this will be perfect for that. I did struggle to get my soft neoprene hand grips on the shaft though, so either my hand grips are narrow or the diameter of this is wide. Either way, I am happy with the paddle.
