This thing feels incredibly sturdy, moreso than the more traditional metal slow feeder bowl that I replaced with it. It also has a smaller footprint all while remaining incredibly stable. So yeah, the build quality on this couldn't feel better. More importantly, this bowl actually makes my dog eat slower. My old metal one helped a bit but it also made made my dog extra messy because he would sling food right out of the bowl by accident. I considered getting a more patterned bowl but almost all of them were silicone. This one was perfect, it really slows my dog down and it feels like it'll last a long time (though I'll update this review if not). Lastly, they look really nice.     • No instructions BUT it's a game changer

So this is packaged great, very secure. It looks simple to put together (it is-align the two wood posts with the hole in the middle and use the screw to secure them together), however, there's no instructions. I was able to figure it out (it's really not hard lol) BUT I was a little lost on the stickers. I had to go to their listing here to see they were meant to help it to secure the bowl so that it wouldn't move around. Well, I didn't know beforehand so I used one set underneath to use it as a floor protector *shrug*. Don't know what the clear bumpers are for though as I didn't see that mentioned at all on here. So the sticker / bumper things were useless for me because I placed half in the wrong area and the other half didn't seem to help secure the bowl at all. However, if I end up finding that to be an issue I'll figure out something. I'm just appreciative of finding a slow feeder with a STAND that had good reviews to base my purchase on. My staffy puppy is fast growing and is quite tall-the slow feeder we were using before had no stand so it was just flat on the floor and it was quite small and hard to hold much food. This bowl though is really nice, great weight to it and a really pretty colour. I have no doubts it'll be easy to throw in the dishwasher. It's the perfect size for my fast growing staffy puppy who eats as if she's been starved smh lol. It really helps her to slow down and (hopefully, enjoy the food too hahaha) no longer choke from eating too fast. She used to eat in half the time it takes my roommate's GSD to eat (and he's a big boy), but now the GSD finishes before my staffy! Super happy with the purchase. I like this product. It is sturdy, heavy, and well-made. It slows down my puppy's ability to gobble down food so fast he regurgitates it a few moments later. i do not feed the total amount at once and only put about 1/8 to 1/6 or so of kibble at a time. The rubber feet included stick well (and I did wipe down the bottom before sticking them on) and make it so that it doesn't move while he is eating. I also use one for water and to keep him from vacuuming down water and the results described above. I now only fill it about half way full so that it slows him down and he has to work a little for it. i will be buying stands to see if we can stop all the regurgitation issues. ... show more

This is a beautiful bowl! I have a Boston Terrier that eats way too fast. This bowl solves this problem. I had a plastic slow bowl yet it never seemed to get clean so I threw it out after a couple feedings. This bowl has slowed his eating by at least half. I can throw it in the dishwasher and even the microwave if I want to warm up his homemade food. Both the bowl and stand are very well made. Great product I highly recommend. ... show more

I love the fact that it is ceramic, that diminishes the bacterial collection and can cause infection. The color is a darker purple than it appears on the site. I have washed it and have yet to try it out on my 8lb Yorkie.

This bowl is great for my two dogs. They both snarf their food too fast, and these bowls slow them down. They burp less than they used to. They are easy to clean, and the ceramic doesn't bother their chins like plastic slow feeders do.

The media could not be loaded. My boy has lots of health issues and lately one seems to be acid reflux. I couldn’t allow him to eat out of plastic…so that left stainless or ceramic. I liked this is FDA approved for him and It. Is. HEAVY. I didn’t put the rubber sticker feet on since they’d probably come off in the wash. I was initially worried about him banging his teeth (sound in video) but by the time he had his third meal he was doing much better (couldn’t attach a second video showing). If you hand feed him you must watch your fingers but he is used to eating his raw out of stuffy things but I really dislike rubber/plastic to eat out of so I was hopeful he’d figure it out and ease up. Thankfully he did. This REALLY slowed him down probably taking him about 5 minutes to eat…which is an improvement to the 5 seconds it normally takes him. Hand washing behind the clover leaves is tricky but I use a baby bottle brush or a cloth. ... show more
