We bought this to replace an ugly old dome light in the hallway, and this fits pretty well with the coastal theme we're going with for the house.. It's simple enough to wire up, a white wire, black wire and a ground. It comes with a round disc that attaches to junction box in the ceiling but can be mounted to the ceiling without a box if needed. The fixture is very lightweight, the dome is plastic and the metal bits are not very thick. Might be a con for some but it doesn't bother me, made it easier for me to put up honestly. Biggest con I can think of is that if the light ever burns out the whole fixture will need to be replaced, but for the price I won't complain. It's also very bright, which is great for the hallway. As far as the dimming features, I have not fully tested this. I do have it on a dimmer, an old one, and it works fine. However, there is another non-LED fixture on the circuit that probably keeps the usual LED-on-an-old-dimmer issues from manifesting. If you intend on dimming it on its own make sure you have a compatible dimmer switch. ... show more

It is very bright. No motion detector on this light. I used it for a bedroom. It installed very easy, and looks nice.it uses its own little LED (I believe) bulbs. But I must say, IT IS VERY BRIGHT .....I gave it a 4-star because it’s a little to bright. It is dimmer compatible, so use a dimmer if you must.. ... show more

I did have my handyman install because I am not great with that kind of stuff, but he said it was a quick and easy install Makes my garage so much brighter (plus, it really needed an update after 23 years and the light is very stylish).

I installed 2 of these lights in my kitchen to replace 2 old fixtures that used 2 60 watt incandescent bulbs each. In less than 1 hour I was done start to finish and what a difference! Lights not only look good, they also light up every corner of kitchen. Very pleased with this purchase.

This light was fantastic…for three years of very little use. The lights slowly got dimmer and dimmer. It was installed in a water closet. Minutes of use daily - not hours, and it’s LED. This should have lasted a much longer time. You get what you pay for.
