I have been wanting to get a hammock for so long! I got this to put between two trees in our backyard so I did purchase some tree hugger loops to hang it from. I have to admit that it is everything I hoped for! It is very sturdy and well balanced. The ropes are thick and woven nicely at the hanging point. The pillow that came with it is kind of loosely thrown together, but everything else seems to be good quality. This thing is awesome and it has worked out great. It is very comfortable and it is nice and big giving plenty of space to just relax and enjoy the late afternoons. I'm from the coast where a Hammock is a wonderful way to laze the day away, so I was excited to review this Hammock. I took pictures out of the box to highlight the most important things (to me) in determining the quality of the Hammock. First things first, the fabric is waterproof which gives it an automatic edge over the cotton macrame Hammocks of days gone by. That means, this Hammock should not mildew or start to look nasty with no way to properly clean it. If there is a drawback, it could be the solid bottom may get hotter than the old type, but there are ways to overcome that...hello sprinkler! I've never used a padded Hammock, and I'm telling you it makes a difference. I uploaded pictures to show the stitching, grommets, rope and spanner bar. I saw no rips or stitching issues and the grommets appear secure across both ends of the Hammock. The rope that attaches the Hammock to the spanner bar doesn't appear to be waterproof but the knots of the rope are very secure down both sides of the spanner. If you plan on keeping the Hammock outside for long periods of time, you may want to wax the rope, but for me...the ropes are fine since my Hammock is on my covered porch. The spanner bar appears to be the same quality of other hammocks and should last the life of the Hammock. Overall, this Hammock is a nice addition to my porch and a great way to sway gently in a warm summer breeze. ... show more

This hammock is very comfortable and stylish. In the past, we've only ever had the mesh hammocks so this was the first time buying one that was cushioned. I'll never go back now that I've had this one. It is cushioned and feels like you are in a cocoon. The hammock does not mold to your body so it is essentially a rocking bed. I'm a grown woman and I can comfortably lay on this with my husband or 2 kids. We had a bad dust storm and this rinsed off very well with a hose too. ... show more

This hammock was pretty easy to assemble, following the directions. It is large enough for 2 people to lay in comfortably. I dont feel like its going to break or anything.

I like this hammock overall. The colors are nice and bright and they pair well with the wood color for a beachy vibe. The fabric seems to be good quality. It holds myself and my husband at once with no problem. I was concerned that the rope at the end would stretch out but no issues with that so far. The hardware at the ends and S hooks are very sturdy and good quality. The pillow is what is lacking more than anything. The seams are very sloppily done and there was stuffing coming out at one point of the pillow. Two sets of ribbons are all that attaches the pillow which is not very effective. Overall, the hammock is comfortable, large, and supportive, but the pillow is not well made or designed. ... show more
