These shades are GREAT. I’ve purchased a few and they really are so easy to install. The quality is fantastic. They are extremely well constructed. Also, their customer service is terrific. I received a shade that was missing the brackets so I contacted them (“M Mayer Store”) and they sent me replacement brackets right away. Lastly if you have an odd sized window and can’t determine the exact shade size or can’t get the shades you ordered to fit exactly, you can always just leave it very slightly crooked and then hide the lopsided part by pinning up the valance underneath with a thumb tack. The entire shade will look like it’s straight. I had to do this and it looks perfect and functions just fine 😀 I’m going to order more. Highly recommend! Nov 2023 Update: As of now I’ve purchased 7 of these blinds. They really are great once you get the hang of installing them. You can fold them over a curtain rod if you’re unable to use the brackets. And if you don’t have a window frame at all, you can just nail it to the wall (like the song) underneath the valance and it will still work just fine but you might need to be a LITTLE gentle pulling it down. Best of all, they can easily work as a “top-down/bottom-up” shade if you just mount the entire thing halfway down the inside of your window frame. I don’t know if that was obvious all along, but I just realized this and am pretty stoked 😅 ... show more

A beautiful light filtering shade that is easy to install. The seller reached out immediately to confirm measurements and suggest a change to the width. It was perfect. Great brown color, not too dark or light. Because I wanted it inside my window trim, I had to use little pieces of wood to put inside the track so the blinds would have a flat place to tighten against. these blinds are rubbish. I purchased 7 blinds (different sizes) about a year ago. 5 of them are non functional now. the thin thread that raises and lowers the blinds have all broken. we hardly ever raise or lower the blinds. they just break on their own without even using them!!! I want my money back or new blinds!!! ... show more

    • Pretty but roll up lopsided
I really like these blinds. Easy to install. Feel substantial however when I roll them up I can’t seem to get the sides even. One side droops down. I pull them down and back up again being careful to lift both sides at the same time. This helps.

I had ordered two other similar shades prior to this one before getting it right. First time, I ordered the wrong size. Second time, the color was darker than I wanted & I just couldn't get on board with something other than what I pictured in mind. Struggled a little bit to find the appropriate size, the exact color tone I wanted, & ones that didn't need a 2" window frame depth, but finally got it right with these.
