So easy to install. No tools needed. Just snap it in place. This sure beats the old school type of mounting brackets that you had to drill holes for. No drill needed here! Perfect. Plus, they look beautiful. I ended up ordering more of them to replace my old yellowed mini blinds. Very happy.

    • Easy to Install, Make the Room Very Dark

These were very easy to install with almost no tools necessary. A plastic wrench for final tightening is supplied. They raise up with little effort and pull down just as easily. When they are fully pulled down, it really makes the room dark, even in the brightest daylight. They do an excellent job of blocking out the light. They do however lose one star in their rating for one minor design flaw. When they are fully pulled down, not only do they block the light, but without any vents or gaps in the design like traditional venetian blinds, they block any airflow or breeze that may be coming in the window. Their design is solid, so nothing gets through, even if you want that delightful spring breeze. Yes, they are light enough to be moved by a decent wind, but do you really want them flopping about? I would not buy these particular blinds for my bedroom as I'd want them lowered to keep out the light, but then I lose any breeze. Just something to consider when making the purchase. Other than that, these are nice blinds and install in minutes with little strain or effort. ... show more

We are renting, so it was nice to find blackout blinds that can be installed without drilling. Installation was fairly easy. The plastic cap that closes the edge of the bottom of the blinds had fallen off for both blinds I ordered, and the rods that add weight had fallen out. But all the pieces were there, just had to reassemble. It is very easy to pull the blinds up and down by the clear plastic handle provided (no cord, which is great). The tension mechanism must initially be a little tight, so I noticed it creeping up after being pulled down. If you pull the blinds all the way out (at an angle), it will start to relax. Blocks light very well, which allows me to sleep much better. I left my lightweight curtains in front of the blinds because a little bit of light comes in the sides. However that may be because the blinds cannot lay completely flush against the top half of my window, as it is offset from the bottom half. I just picked the cheapest color during Black Friday sales. The seller must have had it in stock because it shipped within a week. I am still waiting on my other non-blackout blinds from the same seller, which will take a couple weeks longer to ship. ... show more
