These are very simple shades that install easily. They fit well in the window and leave a small gap at the top and sides, which is typical for these types of shared. They are easy to open and close with the included handle and they do a great job at darkening a room. We liked the first ones we bought so much we bought 3 more sets for other rooms in our house. The material is lightweight so it may not stand up to alot of abuse, but if you don't mess with them too much, it should not be an issue. I do like how they can slide a little in the brakcet. I have two next to each other in a larger window and I was able to adjust them after installing the brackets to make sure they were centered over the windows.

Before I got these, I ordered another brand similar to this, but the clipping mechanism did not work and was very frustrating. After I installed one of those, I was looking for another option and found this. I am so glad I found this. It's a better quality product and the clipping mechanism actually works and is very simple. Putting these blinds in took me about five minutes per blind. If you get the right size, the blackout function of this works very well. Just make sure you get a couple of inches bigger if you are mounting it outside.

I live in a Log home. Or Log Cabin, If that that helps you too visualize. With this type of home, the windows are usually not that big in a bed room. And In my case, they are also different sizes. I was pleasantly surprised to find these blinds that you could actually get perfect measurements and order them without being considered custom. Usually, I have to go for the one size fits all more expensive blinds and make them work. Mainly because custom blinds were always too pricey. But with these, the price was right, installed easily and blackout the light when I need to sleep during the day. I'm very happy with them.

We like that this was easy to install. It’s great for daytime movies or gaming. If you want complete blackout you will need to measure for out side window frame installation. As you can see from our picture there is a ring of light but we weren’t needing complete and total black out. But there is definitely no light shining through the curtain. I did not realize one side was white and one side was black. But I actually liked that versatility. I am happy with our purchase and feel it was priced competitively with others.

Absolutely get your own screws before you even start. You will be glad. The mechanism part seems a bit iffy. One broke right away. Have a new one being sent. For me, I probably should have spent a little more and got a bit more quality. But they look good!
