We have been buying this product for years. When our original stylist stopped carrying it, we had to order it online. During COVID it was hard to order directly from Layrite, but we can order directly from them through Amazon. Still a win for us. :) My boys like it because it washes out easily, it warms quickly between hands to help control how much/little is used and a little bit can go a long way. I only order this every 4-5 months for my teens but my husband does go through his a little faster.

I comb my hair when I go into the office, but its hard for me to find pomade that actually looks ok in my thick wavy hair. I even tried this brands superhold pomade because usally the strongest hold works the best for me. This holds and looks the best, and has the added benefit of washing out easier than any other pomade ive used regularly in the past. I'll be using this exclusively from now on.

I love layrite but this time around I only got about 1/2 a can full of product. I've used layrite many times as this is probably my 10th can. I weighed it and it's way off. I'm missing about 40% of the product. Be sure to pay attention to how full your product is! I'm not sure what to do.

This was not what I expected for a water-based pomade. For starters, this does have beeswax and castor oil listed as ingredients. I don't know how much, but as someone who has used pomades in the past with petroleum and wax ingredients, this was too similar to those. One of the reasons I bought it was because I read it washes clean out. The first time I washed it out I could still smell it, so I washed it again, and could still smell it, so that was not my experience. Another reason I bought it was I read it leaves your hair soft. I styled my hair with it after a shower, and two hours later it was crispy like I'd used gel. Combing it out did make it soft, but it was so thick I was thrown back to my days of using stuff like Dax and Sportin' Waves. One more thing I'll mention is I couldn't get into the scent, either. They call it "cream soda." I questioned it but thought I might be able to get on board with it. It's just vanilla, like a cheap candle. I don't particularly want to go around smelling like vanilla, even though it is fairly subtle. Just wasn't what I was hoping for in this product.
