I've become a pomade snob. I cant tell you how many brands I've tried, and for me, I can say that Layrite Original is amazing. The scent is very light and barley noticeable. There are other brands I've tried where it's quite simply overwhelming. I have straight, medium think hair and I typically get the Executive style haircut. I apply this pomade on towel-dried, damp hair, and the hold is phenomenal. Strong, but not HARD. Hold stays all day, and does not flake. I have tried MANY hair gels over the years and this is by far the best! Put product in palms, rub your hands together, put n hair and style. The scent is light, but pleasant and not feminine. The hold it provides lasts all day, without diminishing, and even so, it washes out super easy.

I have short hair and wanted to wear a "wet look." It's convenient and takes like 3 minutes to style my hair out of the shower versus drying and then flat-ironing. I bought medium hold and it held my hair in place the entire day at work and way after I got home. No buildup, good shine, easy to wash out or run hands through my hair afterwards. I have issues with hair products and acne and this pomade is the best product I've tried for that.

If I want my hair to look sassy, I just slap some of this on it and I get immediate, subtle shine and the best texture. You can fluff your hair back up again throughout the day and it rinses out of your hair with water.
