These come off the feet easily. Suggest getting an actual tool. These collect lots of dirt and you have to continually pull dirt out of spikes.

I really like the concept of these strap on spike shoes. I have Zoysia grass, which needs aeration often due to it's thick root structure. These are convenient. It's a bit of work, kind of feels like walking in mud, but not too hard. The spikes push right in there. And it includes a free weed removal tool, as well as a took to keep the spikes nice and tight. The straps did shift around a bit for me, so my heel didn't always stay put, but not difficult to compensate for that. All in all, I'm very happy with these. Much easier than my previous aeration tool.

It's really hard of the feet. I tried using this product a few days after it rained in may and it made a huge mess since it would pull out all the dirt where (I was just trying to make holes)...so i waited till the rain had stopped and i tried again yesterday. The whole point was to use this where i have dry dirt to get some grass seeds in. That was extremely difficult. I had to stomp really hard and even then the nails wouldn't go through all the way. Even with the straps i kept twisting my ankles. Not safe at all. I don't recommend

Once I was able to get these over my shoes and tighten the straps, they worked fine. Do not try to walk on hard surfaces - just put them on next to your lawn in a chair. They go in pretty deep, so you just need to get used to walking slowly in them.
