Although it's intended for a sofa bed I purchased this for my platform queen size bed. My mattress was sagging quite a bit in the middle due to too much spacing between the boards.     • It definitely works, and not just for the sleeper sofa part but for sagging couches.
I only gave 4 stars due to its not quite the full length of my queen size sleeper sofa bed, but it works where it counts. I'm giving as much information I can to help others with their decisions when buying this product. * My husband has had back surgery years ago and he doesn't feel the sleeper sofa bars now, neither do I, thank God. This really makes a difference in comfort along with a nice mattress or mattress topper. **Continue to read for more info on this particular thing.** * It's heavier than expected but it's able to slide in place. * It seems to be waterproof due to the feel of the material. * We are using this product on a 4yr old sleeper sofa, that we got used, recently. So its not being used on brand new furniture and it makes a big difference. * While this is still under the sleeper sofa mattress, we can fold the bed up just fine, so you don't have to remove it to fold the bed up into the couch. * So far this product is holding up with having 405 pounds ( 2 people) laying and sitting on it for an average of 8hrs a day for a week now. More weight ( 3-4 people) has been on it off and on throughout the week. * One other down side for us is we noticed that we can feel our mattress springs a lot more with this on, because of the level of support this product provides lol. The mattress was brand new when we got this sleeper sofa. So we bought a mattress topper, it helped, but for us we are going to buy a new mattress without springs in it lol. * This would definitely help revive a sagging couch for sure, it gives a lot of support. You would just fold it up and lay it under the couch cushions. * It doesn't feel like you're laying on a board or anything, that's what we found odd considering the amount of support this product provides, this is a plus. See if you used a piece of plywood or something similar, you would feel the hardness of this, but you don't feel that at all with this product. Used on top of our ikea pull out bed and worked a little too good. Couldn’t feel the crossbar of the couch but it was too hard. Will find another use for it because it is very sturdy.

I read reviews before purchasing so I took a chance and ordered one. I used it for my sofa sleeper and not only did it make sleeping more comfortable but it stopped the coil noise which happened every time I moved! If only to change positions and even if I moved to scratch my nose, you’d hear every spring screech. The only flaw I’d say is I wished there were side handles some how to help with positioning. I recommend ordering a queen size if you have a full mattress. I paid attention to the other reviews and that saved me from having to return it. The queen size is definitely for a smaller mattress so make sure to take measurements before ordering. I can recommend this product for now, it’s only been a few days since delivery. :o) ... show more
