Update May 7, 2021: It's been almost 3 years. This belt is still worn daily. It's looking a bit scratched up, but the mechanism still works like it was brand new. The belt is separating in places and falling apart. I've had to cut additional pieces off the buckle end of the belt because the teeth that hold the buckle to the belt stopped gripping the belt and would fall off at inopportune times. All in all, I've worn this belt, daily -- even throughout the pandemic -- for 36 days short of 3 years and it still is wearable and the mechanism works like new, but it is worn, and it is time to replace it. I will buy another one just like it. Update May 17, 2019: It's been almost 1 year. This belt has been worn daily. For the most part, it still looks and works like new. But I have one complaint that I didn't have a year ago. The buckle portion has started falling off the belt every few days or so. The teeth that grab the end of the belt no longer hold it securely. I will need to cut another half inch off the end and re-seat the teeth into the end of the belt so it holds it tight again. No stars removed from my review. End of Update. I LOVE this belt. I will wear a belt until if falls apart. For me, that's often 3 to 5 years of everyday use. Then comes the time to buy a new belt and I can never remember how to size a belt. Is it my waist size? Is it an inch or two longer or shorter? I just never remember. This belt is truly a one size fits all and it's up to me to cut it to size. The instructions in the product description said to add 9 inches to my waist size and cut the belt at that length. The instructions that came with the belt, said to add 7 inches to my waist size and cut the belt at that length. I chose to err on the side of caution and add 9 inches to my waist size and make the cut there. I figured that I could always cut it again if it was too long. Well, with waist + 9 inches, it really is too long, but I've been wearing it like that for a few weeks now. When the belt was brand new, I could hear the crispness of the ratchet. But now with a few weeks of wear, the ratchet sound is much quieter. I'm hopeful that it just means that it's getting broken in, not worn out. But still, I've got another couple of inches to cut off, so if it wears out, I can cut it again, which will move the spot where the ratchet catches and it should work like new again. I would definitely buy this belt again. I might even buy a couple others in different colors. And certainly they would make good gifts.

For the price, these are great belts. In particular the ratcheting mechanism for tightening and loosening is fantastic. It’s not a high-end leather belt. With that said, I wear them everyday. I mentioned “them” because I purchased a brown one as well as black. Additionally, you can mix it up with all outfits since you can change the buckle by switching between different ones while keeping the belt. Holds pants extremely well because of ratcheting and quick release. I’m hard on belts - toss them around. These have held up well. Would I buy nice leather belts in the future? Sure. But I plan on using these as long as the company makes them.

I wear this belt casually with blue jeans and slacks. Typically, I don’t have any other metal pieces on me typically a T-shirt yet somehow this buckle cut scratched up. Don’t know how it happens, but you would think it would be a little more durable. That’s sad and the reason I’m giving it four stars and not two is because the belt itself is really cool and it keeps in shape. I love the design where there’s no holes to get stretched out. It’s got this plastic track that really gives a streamline look also I dropped a bunch of weight and I was able to slice off about 4 inches of belt and reattach the buckle. Cool thing about that is there’s no screws to get loose. It’s a clap that tightens and fits really nice so give it a 10 out of 10 for design but with the materials getting scratched up on the buckle? …come on, you can do better.

You don't even read the reviews. You just buy it. Now, your mistake was thinking this was some ordinary belt. The package comes, All you have to do is unwrap it and wear it. But man, it's not that simple. This is a Ratchet belt with an Automatic Buckle. And it's the perfect belt for the entrepreneur or the person who just has to solve problems. It's the perfect belt for someone who's committed to figuring out complicated instructions. It's the perfect belt for the man who's too proud to ask for directions. So he reads the map with intense focus and determination to figure his way out. It's a belt after my own heart. If you just want a belt that already has predetermined waist size. A belt that's just stuck in the rat race. Then go to Macy's. The Dante Men's Leather Ratchet Dress Belt with Automatic Buckle doesn't play by the rules and doesn't care about predetermined pant sizes. It adjusts to your hips and how you move perfectly. 2nd review: I ordered another belt from this company and they are asking for a review. So here is my second review. I ordered another belt because the first one with the shiny black buckle got scratched or rubbed somehow and I cant get the large smudge to come out. I was wearing it all the time and I guess I bumped into something. So I ordered a second one with a kind of dull silver buckle. I figure if that one gets scratched I can steel wool it and it wont look bad. I find these to be good belts, but my advice would be dont buy a shiny one if your going to use it for work or golf or where you might bump into something. 1st review: I have had another such belt from another company. That one was good for the most part, but it would loosen up a little bit with bending and golf etc. and sometimes the leather came loose from the teeth that hold it. But I superglued where the teeth clamp on the leather and it never came loose again. It finally just fell apart after a year. The pins came out and I could not find one. This one seems better made. It seems sturdier and seems to stay where you set it, but its been only one day. I wont know about durability for months. I think that they have some kind of warranty. This appears to be a well made belt and it looks good. It is great because your not going to get forced to choose between two holes that aren't perfect. You can also tighten and loosen these belts very easily. I recommend them. I think they are going to get more and more popular.

It's very good and work easy. I bought a couple types of it for my husband again and again since they have very good quality and durable. buckle hold work very well. Leather material seems perfect. Non of these I bought broke or torn in one year.

I love this belt way more than I expected. Its very adjustable, so it should fit almost everyone. Its nice and thick, and supports a concealed carry holster easily. It does look pretty nice also, so you can't go wrong. Depending on use, you may have to replace the actual belt part after a year or two of use, but for the price it's not a big deal. I can't see myself ever using a traditional belt again. This thing is incredibly easy to put on and take off, but it doesn't lose grip or loosen while you wear it. The ratcheting mechanism is strong.
