I purchased these shelves in July of 2021 and writing this review after six months of use. The shelves were easy to assemble, sturdy, and fit nicely into a small space I had. There is a trick to attaching the plastic holders to the poles, and if you don't hear a click, you did not attach them right. It is crucial to make sure that the arrows point in the right direction, then slide them over the grove until you hear a slight click, and then you are ready to slide the shelves over them. I liked that the shelves have a small ridge to prevent things from falling off, and the silicone liners allow me to keep small things on the shelves without worrying that they will fall out. I was impressed with this product. I thought it would be flimsy but no, It’s heavy(sturdy) My 7 year old put it together with my guidance, he loves playing with legos putting things together. The day before he helped with a shoe plastic rack which took more time then this rack. Took him about 10mins. He wanted to go watch Pokemon. It’s strange how some comments are saying it was intimidating and too many parts. Yeah many parts, but it was a repetitive process if you do one steps the next is the same haha. ... show more

Perfect! Really simple to assemble, and the actual parts were packaged very compactly. I got this specifically because getting my silly teenage son to hang up jeans/school khakis has been a serious chore. I finally decided fine, if you won't hang them, just fold and put them on something like this. It actually worked out perfectly due to the size, and the added little hanging rack is great for his beanies or headphones. I thought it might have smaller shelves, but was surprised that his folded jeans fit just right on the shelves. It's sturdy and well designed, I might even buy another one for the bathroom now. I've put together more than 20 of these types of shelves and all sizes. I admit this one stumped me for a minute. If you are having trouble with plastic clips popping off when sliding a shelf down, FLIP THE SHELF OVER. For some reason this one has the one inch sides going up instead of down on each shelf. I guess to try and keep stuff from sliding off? Anyway, you shouldn't have to force each shelf down over the plastic clips. The bottom of shelf pole opening is larger than the top on each of the four sides of shelf. Also, I didn't notice until I was placing the shelf liners, but if it matters to you, pay attention that all shelves are facing the same direction when placing them. There is a difference that gets highlighted when placing the translucent shelf liners. Last tip - start out with only 2 sections of poles attached until you place the first 2 shelves. Makes it way easier to keep it upright instead of laying on side. Then simply attach the last 2 sections of each pole before placing the final shelves. If it's assembled correctly it's an extremely useful and sturdy small shelf. I'm using for some empty unused space between my desk and wall. I needed some extra storage in a tight space. This unit was the perfect size to fit in that corner. I also liked that it came with hooks and with liners for the shelves (if needed for small items). It was easy to put together. At first, I thought there was something wrong with the plastic pieces that go around the legs because they didn't completely lock together on both sides. My husband looked at it, and said that the shelves in our shed (which were more expensive) are made the same way. The hole in the shelf that goes over them is tapered and the little extra give (space) in the plastic brackets ensures a tight fit. As long as you follow the instructions, which are clear and well laid out, you shouldn't have any trouble putting this together. 1) Yes, there seems like a lot of pieces, but it is all the same steps building up the unit. 2) There is a small ridge inside the plastic bracket (see first picture). It needs to line up with the the indent in the leg. If you line those up correctly (with the arrows on the outside pointing up), you will feel the plastic parts "snap" into place on the leg. You can test that it's on correctly by trying to move the pieces up and down. They shouldn't move. 3) Be sure the logo is facing up when you put the shelves on. The edge on the shelf will form a "crown" around the shelf. That way the taper is correct on the hole. Be sure to push them down firmly. (Seems obvious, but some people complained about it not being sturdy and this could be why.) If you do these things, you should end up with a sturdy shelving unit. ... show more

Yes this did have a lot of pieces but it was worth it. It only took me 30 min to put together. It’s hard to find a shelf like this.... that has adjustable shelving, liners for each shelf and is sturdy. I have absolutely no complaints about it. Buy it!!

I needed a square shelf unit about 12” x 12” for my closet. This came quickly through Amazon Prime and assembled easily. I don’t put together many shelves—usually my husband does it—but he was working so I did it. He helped me understand how the clips that hold the shelves click into place. Materials are good. The shelves come with black protective pieces at each corner that you throw away. The unit also has 5 stiff plastic sheets that cover the wires on each shelf for a smooth surface. The feet are adjustable for leveling so the unit doesn’t wobble. Also included are anti-tip parts to attach unit to the wall, which I did not use. The shelves were exactly what I needed to complete a wall in our home. They were very easy to assemble and I combined 3 to make two in order to get the height I wanted. They came with shelf liners which was important and I added burlap to give them the feel I wanted. If I ever want a fresh look I can order some other form of material.
