The only reason I decided not to is because they're not microwave safe, and I know the kids would forget and put them in the microwave. Absolutely LOVE them!!! Nice, thick, detailed, colorful. Perfect for me as I don't microwave or use a dishwasher. Very pleased. Glad I listened to the reviews. Update, just washed them and 3 of them (2 plates and one bowl) the paint doesn't line up with the embossed pattern. Its not enough to make me return them, but I am taking one star away as this is an obvious flaw. ... show more
