We've used this product for over 6-months. We just drop it into our HE washer - throw in the laundry to wash - remove our clean and chemically fragrance free clothes - leave the pad in the washer - and ready for the next load. It removes odors, stains - everything you would expect from a typical brand detergent - except it is far more economical and infinitely better for the environment. Been using one for more than a year. Works just like detergent, no fragrance, laundry smells great! I use spot stain remover or hand wash spot stains before throwing clothes into laundry machine, but I need to do that with any other detergent too.

I really love how easy this bag is! And my husband loves that it doesn't have a scent. Just toss it in the washer, add clothes, and good to go. I wasn't aware this "detergent" is considered more of a booster. I have a baby and man who loves to get dirty so messes and smells are part of every wash. This did a wonderful job of sucking out any odor the first month. However after that I noticed everything was smelling like mildew. (Apparently this is a regular issue with natural detergents.) This also didn't lift any messes. After going to their website I saw that while this can be used as a detergent, it's really considered more of a laundry booster (that works best in hard water). It's frustrating, but I still love the magnesium balls pouch. And since it cleans without leaving a residue I don't have any worries about my baby having asthma or allergies from heavy perfumes or chemicals. If you pair this with an enzyme detergent I'm sure you won't have any complaints. It's awesome! Just be aware it may need assistance to achieve gold star laundry standard. ... show more

Why do I love Terrawash? Let me count the ways! 1. Great for traveling. If you are in a college dorm, or backpacking Europe, or living the van life, a big drippy bottle of detergent is impossible. This tiny sack fits in your bag and is easy to carry. 2. No plastic bottles to pollute our oceans and choke whales! Even if you recycle, most of our junk ends up in the landfill. How many big drippy plastic bottles do you make each year? 3. Clean clothes! I have three teenage sons who go to the gym every day. My laundry is super funky! But it all comes out smelling sweet. 4. Easy on the skin. My son has eczema. Al the nasty dyes and perfumes in other soaps make him itchy, but Terrawash is benign. Regular detergent doesn't make me itchy, but why wash in nasty chemicals? I suppose it would be good for babies too. 5. No phosphates. Ever see a scummy green pond? That's because of phosphates, which come from the detergent you are using right now. Why would you kill fish and destroy a habitat if you don't need to? 6. $. Cha-ching. Costs less than the detergent I used to buy. And I only have to shop for it once a year.
