I use a real gimmick to cool my 900 sf old house. I have a real nice 2 ton ac unit but its fairly expensive to run. I have 2 feet of insulation in my attic but electric bills still creeping up. I live in Fla. So what I did years ago was get a 5000 BTU ac in the one Bedroom window and a 10,000 BTU in another bedroom window. We sleep in the 5000 and turn off the main ac unit and keep the temp at like 73. Very nice to sleep in and cheap. Next I got this fan and I use this fan to blow out my 5000 btu bed ac into the main area of the house. It works really good keep the house at 79-80 with a humidity level of 49% all day. If its really hot like 99 or more outside I do the same with the 10,000 btu so I got both bedroom window unit ac's blowing out of both bedrooms into the main house. It gets cold!! It knocked about 35-45% off my electric bill not firing up the main ac unit. It works. My electric bill was $129 last month. I also have 2 Tankless water heaters. Btw, this fan uses .89 amps at full blast. Its a little hungry but a powerful blower. ... show more

It is a strong fan, and a handy tool with chargers on it. I have a much less powerful tower that rotates as well. I realize that Lasko blows very strong in a direct path, however rotating tower , although much less powerful, moves the air around the room better and gives a more comfortable room temperature. I have a freezer in the garage and in addition to the normal heat it contains, and the compounding effects of having a hot car in there too - I wanted to create a way to air this place out. This fan, with the garage door cracked open a little and the side door ajar creates a good amount of circulation in the space and really airs it out. This fan is amazing it keeps our big 400 sq foot bedroom cool. I bought two and I use one in my son’s big room and yesterday we shampooed his carpet and I put the fan on the floor and it dried it up really quick. We had the Lasko fan and it was not as good as this one. I got lucky and bought them during the prime event. I don’t have central ac or heat but this fans are really working great!! ... show more

Absolutely a great buy. I'll update with a video showing how powerful it is. I'm impressed with how durable it is. It's a powerful lil fan so it's as quiet as can be without losing power to it. With that said,vits not real loud either. I shampooed my carpet, put this fan on it to dry it out. It cut the drying time by more than half the time it took with my box fan. It got knocked over by my furbaby and it didn't miss a beat. Still running strong I will be purchasing about 5 more for family members for Christmas.
