    • Very easy to use, but…
First I will say that I LOVE this engraver! Assembly is quick, it's compact and fits perfectly in the corner of my desk, and it is super easy to use - and I’m a total beginner! Once I figured a few things out, I made beautiful engravings. Still trying to figure out how to cut… That brings me to my second point. There is a big learning curve when it comes to the correct settings for different types of materials. The ones that come up when you make the selection are not always true. I have gone from practically burning through a leather piece to barely scratching a wood piece. The instructions that come with the unit are for assembly and set up, not so much for use. So it’s a lot of trial and error - and wasted materials - as I try to figure out what’s what. Instructions and quick guides from the manufacturer would be most helpful. The app provides no instructions or quick tips, and the videos on the site are not helpful, as they are mostly reviews and not instructional (I.e. materials settings, how to cut with the laser, what is this icon, etc.). Also, I bundled the bags, but the large one is difficult to load. The interior is molded and there is no guidance for how things should fit. They would have been better making it like a camera bag. And I can’t break the bundle and return just the large bag, so I have to make the most of it. A high cost for something that is not very useful. For that I am giving 3 stars because considering the price there should be more user guidance and the large bag should be designed better. Still love the engraver, it just needs better support from the manufacturer. ... show more
