I have been using this laser for a few weeks now, and have had mixed results on burning. Some materials burn well, but others can be very tricky. Fortunately, there is a good user base out there that will be glad to help you with the different settings required for different materials. All in all, it is a good machine but you well have to spend time learning the little tweaks necessary to get good results.

(-☆)( -☆)( -☆)( -☆)( -☆) Please ignore the 1-star rating above. It was the lowest rating option Amazon offered. I'm actually giving this a NEGATIVE 5 out of 5☆ I would not recommend buying this item. There are a lot of issues with the app. In spite of creating your passwords with letters, the app only displayed numbers for the password input. So, I finally found a way to get around the stupid login issue. I then had trouble engraving. I got a message saying, "Please verify the laser workspace is secure." Even though I have checked that Laserpecker is secure and positioned on a stable surface, the message continues to appear. This error prevents the Laserpecker from engraving anything. This is a waste of money. This app needs a lot of work. You can't engrave anything without the app. It's strange that the reviewers here give good reviews about this item, but when you go to the apps review, the reviewers give it a bad rating.

I was hesitant to spend the money on this engraver when i already had a nice 20W laser. However, I absolutely love it!! I use it more then I do my bigger laser. I would absolutely recommend the LaserPecker 2
