This works, but you do have to be patient, and you have to be disciplined about using it regularly. It’s mildly uncomfortable, but I wouldn’t call it painful. It does seem to be effective at hair removal, but depending on your individual situation, it can also be very tedious to get everything “hit“.

I got this device in the middle of January and I wanted to wait until I knew what my results were before leaving my review. I'll admit I have looked at these kinds of devices that are popular online and have read mixed reviews. Naturally pretty skeptical so I was prepared that this would not give me the results I wanted. While I am not fully hair free on my legs I'm definitely seeing much less hair overall. I think the most important thing to remember is that if you don't Use the device regularly and follow the instructions you probably won't get the best result. The recommendation is to use the device three times a week I believe. When I first got the device I definitely used it three times a week sometimes more if I had some down time. The instructions state for best results you need to shave before using the device, so sometimes the stars have to align for that to happen on the same day i wanted to use the laser, which means sometimes i didnt use it three times a week and my progress took more time to see. Overall, im really happy with the quality and power of the device. Personally i find the best results using it on the highest setting for my body, but experiment with what is comfortable for you. (didnt irritate my sensitive skin). I only could feel the "flash" on the highest setting personally, and it was like a very very mild shock that goes away instantaneously. The device contains a cold pad near the flash area that feels icy while the flash hits, you just feel cold on the skin. The device itself is comfortable in my hand, and the box comes with some dark sunglassess to protect your eyes while using the device. recommend for anyone who is skeptical. With proper use, you should see good results!

This IPL hair removal set is the real deal and as powerful as any at home IPL machine on the market per its specs. I have had professional laser hair removal over twenty times, and I would describe that experience as semi-painful (meaning in-office laser) but worth it. This at-home IPL device is absolutely and completely painless while also giving off an extremely powerful pulse of light that visibly affects the hair stubble and produces an unmistakable slight burnt hair smell that smells exactly like professional in-office laser hair removal smells. By this sign, I feel highly encouraged it will work really effectively. I'm mixed race white/hispanic with a light olive skin tone and very dark, almost black, dense hair. I tried this on hairs that have not been professionally lasered as well as hair that's been lasered many times in office, and it worked well on both. You have to do it pretty frequently at first, almost every other day, so make sure you have the time and motivation to do so for a while. It may be best to start with a small area you can commit to, and once you see the results that helps with the tedium of sitting and doing a larger area. I had absolutely no redness or pain at all using the very highest power setting. The skin cooling system in this product is amazing, and the spots you go over actually feel pleasantly cold afterwards. I used it at max power on my inner bikini, upper lip, legs, etc. and did not experience discomfort, which is amazing, as in-office laser stings! My only negative notes are it's super easy to accidentally change the power setting while using it, so I wish they put that button somewhere else or some kind of safety on it, and the other thing is doing a large area like your legs takes a really long time and you will get bored. You also have to be willing to do this a lot at first and understand it's hair reduction/thinning and not total removal. If you've been on the fence due to concerns about pain or cost, get off the fence and get this as nothing is better for hair removal besides in-office laser (if you're ok with the discomfort and cost). It will make such a big lifestyle improvement as all the razor burn, time spent shaving, etc. will be gone in a literal flash.

I’ve been using this IPL laser for a few months now on some stubborn facial hair. On paper, I’d be an ideal candidate for this type of hair removal. I have fair skin and dark hair. I haven’t seen any improvement whatsoever with my hair growth. Not even a slowing down. I use it religiously every other day and on the highest setting, going over the areas at least twice. Unfortunately it’s just not working for me. Not yet anyway. I will say the tool is comfortable to use. You have everything you need in the kit…a razor, protective eye glasses, and a manual. The tool comes with a cooling technology that makes the device very comfortable to use, you really can barely feel it. Maybe a little rubber band sting here and there, but that’s it. I do wish it worked for me. I’m still using it and not giving up just yet, so I will update if it just so happens that I am a person that this just takes much longer to work for.
