I have a 42” Panasonic HDTV in the bedroom whose sound I wanted to improve without spending a lot of money. This system was reasonably priced, easy to set up, and gave very good sound reproduction. I purchased it in January ‘23; after about five months it stopped powering on. After pressing all the buttons on the unit and the remote, cycling the power, and praying to the electronics gods, I gave up. A few weeks later I tried again, and it powered up. Unfortunately, then I couldn’t switch inputs, either from the unit or from the remote, so again, the soundbar was effectively useless. I figured I would just write it off because I hadn't spent a ridiculous amount of money on it. Shortly after revising my review to reflect these issues, Larksound contacted me through Amazon. A few days later I had a brand new unit in hand. This is the kind of attentive customer service I would expect from a high-end audiophile company. It speaks volumes.

My soundbar arrived and I set it up just fine, but then the next day it wont turn on or respond to the remote. My LG smart tv recognizes the device, but the device itself will not power on. I returned it, and after a very confusing return process in which the seller tried to deflect responsibility to Amazon for the refund (they told me that Amazon would have to do the return because it was within 30 days of purchase, but then Amazon customer service intervened and explained that seller handles their own logistics) they sent me another one. When it arrived, I had a lot of difficulty setting it up this time, and only after reading other reviews did I learn that the remotes have a tendency not to work unless held perfectly level, directly in front of the unit (what's the point of a remote then?) so after learning that and using the remote accordingly, I got it working, but then the next day it wont turn on and the same issue as the first time. So we really got the trifecta of bad here: the product itself is faulty in a variety of ways, the seller seems somewhat aloof, and also, the subwoofer didn't do anything at all for me, so if you're a fan of bass, or working products in general and not having a lot of your own time wasted, stay away.

I love this speaker and sound bar. I was iffy about it because of the reviews. I love it. It’s been a few weeks, most issues I had were user era. If the device didn’t turn on or off for me, I had to point the remote directly in front of the soundbar, not the side, it’s an inconvenience but it’s still a good device. I love the base to it. It sounds amazing. Some videos I play on YouTube made me think it was the device that wasn’t working properly, it’s actually the videos themselves. This thing gets really loud or soft depending on your preference. It works perfectly with my iPhone, Chromebook, and Amazon fire tablet. I mainly use it for Bluetooth and haven’t had any issues with static or connectivity. I highly recommend. I wasn’t trying to build a huge entertainment area, just wanted something small and affordable. I love you can mount the soundbar and the speaker is small enough to tuck close by. I highly recommend the purchase.

It works good for a $40 sound system it has really good bad sound but the volume only goes up to 30 that is down part about it ! But hey it does work really good it’s just going to pin your ears back !!

Ok so I am not a sound pro. I did know though, that I hated the way my lil 24" TV sounded like. I've bought a few cheapo soundbars that I've had to return because of sound delays, connections, or weird white noise sound issues. This thing is pretty basic (compared to the Samsung sound bar I have in my living room for a bigger TV), but WOW! The sound is crisp. There's no delays. It came with all the cables I could need. The subwoofer did come w a dent on the bottom left back corner but since it's barely visible, I don't care. It did NOT come with batteries for the remote control, but I had some in the house so it gets a pass. Overall, I'm very satisfied w this product and suits my need. If you understand that you will NOT get all the bells and whistles a $400 soundbar would give you, with this $40 one.... You're already on the right path.

Larksound L220M summary/note: Overall sound quality 5/10, $65 • Not recommended (better than the Pheanoo P15 though). • Mid focused, physically small and in sound, lacking range/imaging/acoustics (fuller than the Pheanoo P15 ). Passive subwoofer is sufficient (depends on placement and room size). • 3D sound feature is junk. EQ 1-3 appears to be less than desirable. • Piano plastic finish, metal mesh, front LED lights are dimmable and goes off. Remote need 2x AAA batteries (not included) • This is completely fine if you’re looking for louder or slightly better quality sound than *some* TV. Not comparable to AVR/Speakers, and not better than the Bose Mediamate. Pros: • Loud, works as fine with HDMI/ARC/AUX/Bluetooth (does not trigger/turn-on with Bluetooth). Cons: • Hissing white noise when nothing is playing. (would have been an okay soundbar if not for this issue) ---------------------------------- What I am looking for: • Small soundbar with or without subwoofer; fuller sound (than TV speaker), comparable to small Bose sound/speaker (good vocal), not room shaking dynamics (not looking for crazy highs or thunderous bass)…as we have a separate movie room for that. • HDMI ARC, for seamless on/off and volume control with the TV (65”), mostly kids using this TV. • Bluetooth, for streaming music from phones. The bases of our experiences and current setup: • Separate movie room with AVR, Klipsch speakers, and Klipsch subwoofer…(as I do like good clear highs/bright sounds). • Small Bose Mediamate speakers setup with computer, no sub (old, but sounds better than the newer pair of Bose Companion 2 Series II that we also have). Prior computer speaker setup were Logitech Z-2300 and Klipsch ProMedia 2.1.
