Firstly, my 5-Star review is for the product in my Headline (Mat-grey color). I noticed that, there are 9 other products by AMIJEAL Brand - that may be grouped together in this listing (for an over-all) Star rating. Other products that fall under this Store Brand, may or may not be 5-Star. This hot tools mat, with an adjustable -Velcro closure, is exactly the size & color that I wanted. I'm using this silicone mat, to protect the countertop in my RV. There is limited counter space in the camper & I had nowhere to put a hot curling iron. This size fits perfectly on the bathroom sink vanity. There is a video on the product listing site, showing you how to roll the mat (with hair tools) & how to neatly secure it together. Note: In the Product listing - (About this item) section: (paragraph 4, 2nd sentence) it states: "With the built-in velcro," etc. Be advised this velcro strip is not permanently attached to the silicone mat. I made a loop & placed it through the top hole, securing it to the mat. That way, when I need the mat to lay flat, I won't lose that tiny, little thin strip of velcro. Of course, if you lose that strip, you could always use a rubber band or string of some sort, to keep the roll closed for a travel bag. This entire statement was probably not worth mentioning, but I do like that added little convenient (velcro) bonus, that comes with this product. Lastly, I like this product - it is, as advertised (exact measurements 11.8" x 9", does what it says (protects my counter from heat) & is fairly priced (compared to similar brands). I am Very pleased with it.

This silicone mat was exactly what I needed for my hair dryer. Before I got this mat, I would have to leave my hair dryer on top of the washing machine to let it cool down because my bathroom did not have enough counterspace and I was afraid that it was too hot and could cause a fire if I put it on top of a plastic tabletop. This mat is lightweight and thin enough that I can wrap it around the barrel of my hot hair dryer so I can leave it on any surface. It comes with a velcro strap to secure it tight. The silicone material is similar to those used for cookie sheets, but there are grooves that allow air to pass through and thus speed up the cooling process. I'm definitely going to bring this in my suitcase when I travel so I'll be able to throw my hairdryer in the bag rather than having to wait an extra 30 minutes before being able to pack it up.

I have a few of these heat mats for styling tools laying around the house. This one is a true flat mat that you can wrap around a device and secure with an included strap. The mat is about the right size to fit on a standard small bathroom countertop and also hold a heated device. I've photographed it with my Revlon One Step, the largest styling tool in my collection. I like the textured surface as it reduces slipping. Since it's silicon, you can also use it for other hot items as it will hold up to heat and is easy to clean. It makes a perfectly good spoon rest! It is a little bit pricey for just a simple mat but is a useful item.

This is my first silicone heat mat and I’m surprised it took me so long to get one. My husband is always on me for my many different irons and since getting new bathroom vanities I thought I should take precautions. This is a nice large mat and had larger dimensions than others I looked at which is why I chose this one. It fits on my counter but can easily hold my larger straightener and even my 3 barrel mermaid iron as well. I like that it comes with a way to roll it up making storing it easier. It keeps the heat from getting to our marble countertops and doesn’t seem affected by the high heats sitting on it for long periods. I’m very happy with this and even found it useful in the kitchen when my stovetop was overly crowded and I needed something to put a hot pan on.

This silicone mat is just about the perfect size. It says large but its not too big, just fits my heated hair tools about right. It is great for travelling, I wrap and transported my hair tools in it and secured it with the attached velcro strap. When travelling I find that I sometimes need to do my hair and pack and go, such as if I am not staying in the same place that night. This mat helps with packing hot/warm tools away. I have started using this mat at home too, I never did before, I just threw my heated hair tools in the sink ... not wise I know. This mat does what it says it does and the price point isn't too bad either.

For years, I've been using flat irons, but I feel like I have to walk on eggshells when using them, especially when placing them on a countertop and then letting them cool down when finished (and hoping someone doesn't come along and burn themselves accidentally while it cools). Now I don't have to wait or be finicky; I have to be careful not to burn myself. I like being able to wrap the iron in this when complete, it absorbs the heat, and I don't have to allow it to cool down. When in use, it won't burn the counter. It has a velcro strap to keep it closed up and tidy.
