My only positive point is the door extends to for our door frame. The negatives are: the plastic glass didn’t slide into place, it was too wide. The height adjustment screw blocked pushing the door snugly into the frame. The plastic flapper for the dog entrance fell off. The security door to place over the opening didn’t have a slot to slice into so it wouldn’t stay in place. The door is narrower than the channel so I had to cut blocks to hold it in place. Paid a. Lot for something that didn’t work “out of the box”.

Two things I had to do for this to work out. Remove the door flap as the sudden snap of magnets scared my cats, and add a THICK brush to the side so bugs couldn't get in the gap. Works great for what I need. Let's me open the door with minimal house flies finding their way inside.

We bought this for our winter home, which is a park model trailer in AZ. Our carport is fenced so the dog can go in and out and we often leave the door open from him. But when it's chilly it's a nuisance because with the door closed he still wants to go in and out so we are constantly getting up and down to the little prince. I had trouble finding a door short enough to fit our slider and also wasn't too wide. This one is perfect! We had to add some weather stripping to seal up some open gaps, and we decided to not use the sliding door and, instead, wedged a dowel rod in to wedge the slider against the insert and further seal the small gaps. Our second entrance door is only steps away so that isn't a problem for us and the convenience of the doggie door is well worth the trade-off. The door is not top quality but for a park model trailer that we only live in for 3.5 months of the year it is sufficient. It does not come with weather stripping and it is pretty necessary unless you're okay with drafts (and bugs if you live in a place where bugs are a problem). Overall I would recommend this door if you looking for an inexpensive solution.
