Update, including raising the carrier to a 5-star review, after having taken my very large kitty--long, wide and tall--(Siberian) to the veterinarian. It was a BREEZE placing him IN the carrier (from the top) and zipping it up; it was extremely COMFORTING knowing that kitty wasn't banging or bruising himself to resist getting in! He fit NICELY. I also ran the car seatbelt through the top handles on the carrier. Another fantastic feature: Fortunately, I did decide to cover the soft cushion with a doggie pad, just in case my cat had an accident: My little darling got carsick enroute to the vet (my friend foolishly chose the serpentine route). The vet's office (awesomely and for free) cleaned him all up, minibath, etc., and they easily cleaned out the areas of the carrier that kitty splashed. There was NO wailing, as he always did in the hard plastic carrier, until dumba_ _ took that twisting route and made him sick. The carrier is super light weight, which is a blessing when your cat weighs in at 18 pounds MINIMUM! Very easy to carry it, and rather PLEASANTLY noteworthy is that no bruises were caused by the carrier to the cat's servants while carting him in it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have a very large kitty (Siberian). Lugging him in the monstrously large and bulky, hard plastic and metal-gated carrier that I have for years is equally troublesome to me and my cat. Oh, and getting that willful little darling IN it is a nightmare, for both of us. Hence, my desire to find a solution. After having read myriad reviews of multiple pet carriers on Amazon, this product seemed superior to them, particularly for those wanting to accommodate a larger cat (say, e.g., Maine Coon or American Siberian). --I very much like that I can drop my fluffy little (er, huge!) baby into the carrier from the top;. --I like the interior safety leash; --I like (but don't need) the adorable little feeding basket (Look inside the id card pocket to find it!); --I like the id card pocket; --I like the shoulder strap and its sturdy clips; --I like that my baby won't bang himself up struggling against being put into his carrier as he is wont to do with the hard plastic one--even if he still struggles now, he won't get hurt on the carrier materials. --I like the ample ventilation he will receive with this new carrier; --I like the aesthetics of the carrier; --I like the soft mat and that it's washable. Two things that do concern me and only time will tell: --How sturdy the base will turn out to be: I might follow another reviewer's idea, which is to slide a second plywood piece in with the included board. --Will the mesh dry out/crack over time? Thus far and over all, I am pleased.

Sturdy carrier for a larger cat. Comfortable and big enough to accommodate your pet. I've put the family cat in it a few times for quick trips and it's worked well. If you have a heavy cat, it can be uncomfortable to carry for extended periods without break. Overall, good carrier and good value for the price.

Quality wise I like this carrier for my cat. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that the fabric kind of collapses on the top when you aren't holding it up. Straps are sturdy. Plenty of room for a large cat (or small dog). Very airy and lightweight.

My parents flew my new puppy in this carrier. I had to use it to transport 2 Pomeranians across country during our move. It is a great carrier. The size is perfect. It didn’t fit the best under the seats in delta aircraft’s, but it did the job and had great ventilation. The water/food bowl was also helpful and there is a sleeve to put small snacks and another for the name tag. If I had to purchase another one I would!

Great carrier! Got this for my kitten and i love it!! its big enough that she should be able to use it as an adult and for now has space to play in there but isn’t so big that it’s annoying to carry. Super cute and works great! i don’t plan to use the little food dish thing but it’s kinda nice to have if i change my mind. Strap is comfortable on my shoulder and handles are good along with all zippers and openings.

We use this for our cats, small dogs, rabbits, chickens, etc. Anything that needs to travel or you need to contain for a few minutes. It is lightweight, easy to zip, and lots of breathing/viewing holes. The handles are over the shoulder, or 2 handles to carry like a suitcase. It is flat and doesn't tip over either.
