This is the first carrier I have ever had that had a frame like this. As I was getting it out of the box, I could feel the metal supports. Thinking…this is serious. As I was looking this over, I kept thinking, this gets better and better. If I wondered about a feature, it was there. ASSEMBLY There were two snaps to release. Then you lifted up the top. Inside there were two sections that you had to assemble once opened. Basically each half of the top horizontal support. One side had a sleeve that you pulled back. Then you aligned it with the section on the other side and once aligned the sleeve would slide over the union of the two halves. You did this on each side. Voila, you are done. It did take a bit of elbow grease, but it was not too hard. I had the pleasure of doing this with a cat already in the carrier. She likes to be helpful. FEATURES **** The bottom has a plush velvet like pillow that fits perfectly and is very plush and soft. **** The top had a zippered mesh section with a velcroed cover. **** One end had a zippered mesh section with no cover. **** Each side had a zippered mesh section with a velcroed cover. **** The other end did not open, but had a velcroed pocket for papers and such. Snaps for seat belt are here. **** For each zippered mesh section with the cover, there was a means to secure the cover and also a means to secure the cover and the mesh fully open. This was achieved with a flexible elastic loop inside or on the outside with a corresponding plastic dongle. **** There are two carry straps with a velcroed center piece for padding. **** There are snaps that can secure a car seat belt. **** There are clips on each corner that can secure the zipper ends or anything else you might want to connect them to. **** Removing the frame from the carrier, it is machine washable per the ad. My assumption then is that the pad is also machine washable, but it does not say this. This is very handy as I have had cats that had accidents within on longer trips. **** Closing it up, it takes little room and utilizes the frame to keep it smaller. You reverse what you did to assemble the frame and it folds right up. Clips on each side hold it in place. INTENDED USAGE We will be taking our cats with us to our lake place in the summer and we wanted roomier carriers for the 1-½ hour trip. They will be stressed enough. Also we have noted, the cats like carriers as a place to hang out when stressed, so when we first take them with us, they will have a comfy hangout spot. Taking the pictures I had an assistant (~7 pounds, one of our small cats) approving every shot.

This PAWMANIA Large Cat Carrier has it all! My kitty was getting too big for the carrier we usually use to go places, so I decided on an upgrade. And what an upgrade this is! This carrier is perfect for her! It is big enough that she can stand up, and stretch out, in it, and if she grows some more she'll still have room to be comfortable. It's really easy to put together, and to take apart. It folds up flat, for easy, space saving, storage. There's a pocket on one side to carry treats, or whatnot, and every other side has a zipper opening with a mesh panel for ventilation, as well as a cover to go over them, if it gets too windy, Sunny, etc. On the corner of every zippered entry/exit there's also a fantastic security feature, there are small clips to hold all of the zippers in place, so my kitty can't push any of them open to escape. The inside has a super plush, soft, and comfortable, cushioned bed, that is machine washable, and she already loves stretching out on it. This carrier is definitely designed with cats, and cat parents, in mind. It has all the features my cat wants, like being able to see out almost every side, a comfy bed, room to stretch out, etc, and the features I want, like how safe it is with the strong, sturdy, bars throughout it, the clips for locking the zippers in place, as well as the foldable design for space saving, etc. The canvas, and mesh, materials it's made out of are high quality, strong, and durable too. This carrier is definitely worth the money. I've been taking my kitty everywhere in it, and we both love it.
