I bought this after returning another ball winder I didn’t like because it wouldn’t roll a full skein of yarn. This one rolled my almost full skein in less than 10 min. I was a little disappointed because the cone came with scratches on the surface and inside was all scratched up which indicates to me that it was used. After looking up a video to assemble it and caking my yarn, I decided to keep it because I was pleased with the performance. I was very disappointed when I recieved it. There were no directions and the large metal yarn guide was stuck in the gears. It states in the title Knit Picks but isn't anything like Knit Picks. Does not work smoothly. The gears get stuck every 2nd to 3rd turn.

Very satisfied with the ball winder. I ordered the large capacity because I sometimes work with chunky yarn. It did the job very well. I wish there was a storage case :) I could not get it back in the box to stack in storage :)
