I was using a pile of textbooks to hold my laptop up to eye level, this is waaaay better. First, it has a minimum of metal on it, so the heat from my laptop doesn't get trapped and build up underneath. That has got to be better for my computer. Second, it adjusts up and down, as well as forward and back (tilt), so you can decide exactly what angle and how high you want your computer to be and if you want the keyboard flat or tilter also (not possible with the aforementioned pile of books). Third, it is sturdy - you need two hands to change the height or tilt, which I think is good because it doesn't slip or sag once you have it set Fourth, the stand has good stability. I'm not worried about it falling or tipping over Fifth, I can run my cords underneath, which means that when I take my laptop off, they stay in place nicely and don't fall off the side of my desk onto the floor Sixth, it looks nice and neat and tidy both when my laptop is on it and when it isn't. The pile of books I was using looked disorganized Seventh - you could take it with you on a trip or whatever. It folds back down nice and flat so it would fit into a backpack or work bag easily. Just buy it. It works great and you won't be disappointed. Its a thing I never thought I really needed until I got it.

Both my husband and I love this laptop stand. It works perfect with our set ups. The height is adjustable as well as the angle. The only downside was that one of the feet that supports the laptop was slightly bent. Should have sent it back but it works well. Actually ordered a second one for my husband to use at his office.

This thing holds my iPad Air and laptop with not problem. Very sturdy Very Stable Does not easily tip over. If it does it’s either because you did not position it correctly or you are an idiot for knocking it over with a good amount of force. It is a bit stiff and does not easily reposition…but that IS a good thing. Why? BECAUSE IT HOLDS ITS POSITION QUITE WELL! Wrenches included for adjustments.. Soft padding thst grips your device well. Highly recommend…buy with confidence.
