    • Over a decade later, still running strong
I bought this exact model over a decade ago so I was surprised to see it still for sale on Amazon. I logged on mostly to say this speaker has easily outlasted all the devices I've put it on. I just put it on my laptop to listen to music (Tool - Lateralus), and it still sounds great. It's nowhere near worth the price tag I see for it on Amazon at the time I'm writing this review, but it's accomplished what few other electronics in my life have done. It's still much louder, and with a much better sound, than any built-in speaker on a laptop I've owned, even higher-end laptop speakers can't compare. I'll have to disagree with the one-star review for this product. My laptop was at under half volume and I had to turn it down because it was too loud when I put this speaker on! In summary, way to go Logitech for making a lasting product with such quality, which I'm sure I paid next to nothing for in the 2000s! But don't pay hundreds of dollars for this. ... show more

Unless your laptop doesn't have internal speakers, don't buy the Logitech Z305. My laptop plays Blu ray discs and I was seeking speaking that would really enhance the sound while watching movies. I could barely hear (no exaggeration) the Logitech Z305 speaker. I'm returning mine to the retailer ASAP! ... show more
