The monitor and laptop stand was something I was looking for when I started working from home. This one was priced well, so I got it to try out. The stand is VERY sturdy on the desk attachment, however the laptop stand could be better. I have it sit off to the side and then rotated to face me, and it tends to wobble a bit when I type on it. I did solve this by placing something under the arm to stabilize it, but that does kind of defeat the purpose of the floating arm. I also wish the range of motion in rotating the arm was better. The way the hinges are constructed means the arms can only bend about 270 degrees in total motion, and that combined with the hinges on the arm working with the hinge on the pole attachment can make setting up the angle you want a little awkward. This stand is fantastic. I didn't get a before/after picture, but believe me, it wasn't pretty before. I purchased a cable management kit along with this stand, and let me tell you, my desk is much more organized and roomy. I have a 17" laptop from Sager/Clevo (XM170KM-G, which weighs about 12 pounds (it's a veritable beast) and I was worried that the laptop platform wouldn't fit/support it. I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this stand because not only does it have the real estate to support this big boy, it is plenty sturdy to support the weight as well. The monitor I'm using is a 27" curved Gigabyte unit, weighing about 10 pounds itself. The included cable management clips were handy in handling all of the extra mess that one would have had to use zip ties or some other creative solution to handle.     • Very Versatile and Easy to Install
I'm so glad I got this. I have so much more room on my desk and my laptop gets more airflow. This is for my personal computer but I can easily exchange out my laptop for my work computer and have dual screens. It is so nice to have everything up off the desk and I'm able to move it around in different positions. Love the wire tamer that comes with it as well. The laptop holder part is a little rocky. I tried reinstalling it with the same issue. It's not a huge deal but slightly annoying. I would still highly recommend this product as it is good quality and easy to install. ... show more

Got this to hold my 27" Dell monitor and 16" Macbook Pro and it works great! Really high quality materials and feels super sturdy. My only complaint is that I wish the pole was maybe 2-4 inches taller; the monitor sits a little low for my eye height even when on the very top of the pole. It would also be nice if the base was a little wider. It's perfectly strong, but the leverage from the monitor hanging off to the side is causing my cheap Ikea desk top to dent/crush in, so the whole stand is starting to lean. Not really the fault of stand, but a wider base would certainly help for those of us with cheap desks. I'll probably end up adding a wood board on top of the desk to help distribute the load better and stop the lean. ... show more

    • Pleasantly surprised product was as advertised: sturdy, stable... and laptop shelf was level!
I was concerned about bad reviews (on this and similar brands) of laptop shelf not level, slipping, hard to tighten etc. I was happy to find none of these issues, nor any other worth noting. Fit & finish was great with organized parts and instructions. The laptop shelf was my primary need and but I figured I can use the 2nd arm for a camera, light or maybe my iPad. The shelf's larger size and taller lip suited my laptop with it's docking station. I did not need to periodically move laptop up or down otherwise I might recommend a gas lift alternative as moving these arms up/down requires the Alan wrench. ... show more

If I was able to I would give this a 4.5/ 5 stars instead of 4. Long story short this is a great laptop mount for the price point. Even though I really only need one of the arms for my laptop, I like the idea of having another one just in case I ever do get a second monitor. I have found that it is a great addition to my home office. Much better than the laptop stand I used to own. The amount of space I now have on my desk is wonderful. But like every product, nothing is perfect. When I first unboxed this mount and assembled it, I noticed 2 negatives. First, the bolt that holds the bottom part of the clamp plate is sharp and did start drilling into the desk. Nothing too major, but not ideal so I placed a piece of cardboard and some rubber to protect my desk. The other problem I found was when I placed my laptop on the mount, it was noticeably uneven. Now my laptop is a 16-inch gaming laptop and is a bit on the heavier side but not anywhere near the 22lb limit the product claims. I tried to follow the troubleshooting guide; however, it was a bit unclear what to do. So after a few days of trial and error, I found that the clamp was not fully secured to the desk causing the arm to be uneven. So now the only real negative is the screw digging into my desk. So if you are looking at this mount, just keep that in mind with the c-clamp. Other than that it is a great desk mount. Now for the main positives about this laptop mount. The arm moves great when I needed it to and stays where I want it. The holes in the tray provide great airflow for my laptop so the fans aren't always going full blast. Adjusting the arm up and down is easy to do, though I remove my laptop just to be safe when I do. ... show more

It's a good set up. My equipment is on the bigger side but still within the size range specified by the stand. It is a very tight fit laterally and I am limited on being able to adjust the angles. If your equipment is closer to the max size in the specifications you should go up a size for a better range of options in your configuration. ... show more
