There is really nothing complicated about the installation of this cover. I love the cute panda design! As far as the adhesive, I do not believe it will be coming off anytime soon. The sliding of the cover is pretty smooth.

These are very cute, and functionally the slide works fine. They are a little thick for the laptop and over hang the screen a bit too much, but it’s fine. It’s a bigger deal on the phone since there is less screen to work with, not it’s not really ideal for that use.

I have a Mazda that has one of those mirrors that gets dark when too-bright light coming from behind me hits the sensor. Except the sensor doesn’t normally work. I accidentally found one day that for whatever reason on the front facing side of the mirror is a sensor that when blocked will darken my mirrors quickly. I use this product to slide the privacy door closed when I want to block that sensor and darken my mirrors! The opening on this product is just large enough to keep the sensor fully exposed or fully blocked. So long as the adhesive continues to do its job, I expect this thing to last a long time as I’m gentle with it when I slide the privacy door.

The media could not be loaded. Well, I'm mighty impressed. I really didn't think they'd be all that great (I actually ordered other kinds so that I can compare them). I was concerned before ordering that the sliding cover would slide too easily with movement and/or fall off at some point. Mind you, I literally JUST installed this thing on my laptop (Mac book) so this is not a review based on longevity of the product; Merely my initial impressions. Installation was a breeze. They give you small, clear adhesive strips so that you have better control during placement. The cover does not slide with typical device movement and takes just a wee bit forceful pressure to move vs just touching it (see video for demo). I don't know if it will loosen over time or if the adhesive will fail, so I do plan to update after a period of use. It also looks as though there is a lip on the rim of the adhered piece that will keep the cover from falling off. Yay! Unlike my old (janky) sticky note cover, this thing completely blocks the outside light and gives a black screen when the camera is covered (see photos). My laptop screen also lays almost completely flat when closed, so I needed something very thin to ensure no screen damage when closed- this is as close to perfect as you'll get in terms of thickness (see photo). So far, I'm very happy. Once I am confident that it will pass the test of time, I plan to apply the second one to my iMac (I already know that it will fit, even with my cover on). Here's to hoping!

Wow, these things are cheap. The mark up percentage must be in the millions. Just attached them. They're made of so little material that they're a little hard to handle. Slim, though, I guess. They seem to adhere sufficiently, but the camera area of my laptop isn't exactly a high-friction zone, so adhesive demands are limited. Once attached, seems to work right. I think I paid $6 for 3 of them, though, when $6 seems like it should get to enough to start up your own franchise. I only have 3 webcams, though, so buying them by the thousand would have been impractical. I wonder how many resellers this went through. I hope some of that 57,000,000% mark up I paid goes to benefit efforts to reduce webcam paranoia :P

They are nice but a little wide if you have a narrow border around your device. Kids will love them and so will the adults. Worth the money. I would buy again.
