  • It gets really cold now
Set name: 10,000 BTU Cooling Only
I bought this for my living room that has enough sunlight that it can overheat it. I was able to easily install this from a window and it came with everything I needed to do so too! The vent tubing on this arrived with nothing wrong with it and connected to the window piece easily. Once I had everything installed, I put this on the AC setting and within 30-45 minutes, the living room was about 10 degrees cooler. I will leave this on throughout the day, because we do have dogs, and have found that they will actually stay in the living room rather than seek cooler areas of the house. The other nice thing is that if we don't want to use the AC setting, we don't have to and it will still keep our living room nice and cold. When it comes to how much noise this makes, not a lot. There are times I forget that it's on because of how quite it is. Highly recommended and will definitely come in handy when the triple digit heat comes. ... show more

  • 2 Years still going strong
Set name: 14,000 BTU Cooling Only
After two years both a t still going strong and helping maintain house cool in Georgia summers. Our central ac is on its way out and these two work overtime to help us not have to swap it just yet. Running on cool DOES add to the humidity in the house so in that bothers you switch to dry. Still cools just removes humidty too. You willl have to drain every few weeks. Easy set up and use. • Greatly Disappointed
Set name: 14,000 BTU Cooling Only
This is a review for SereneLife SLPAC14 Portable Air Conditioner (14,000 BTU). I had a great AC that died recently. So, I did some research to find the ideal AC, however I had the hardest time choosing one due to lack of information on the AC’s listing pages and lack of honest opinions. So, I’m writing this review to help you make the right decision, or rather to save you from making the same mistake I made. In short, this AC is not good. Stay away. Don’t buy. To elaborate more: - Manual is in broken English. Some instructions are hard to understand. - The AC is heavier and larger than an average portable AC. Plus, you need around 20 inches of space around it, and the hose needs to be 35 inches up and away from the floor. Small room? Low window? No good. - Manual states “When the temperature is higher than 40c/104-f, it’s not recommended to use this unit.” Go ahead, buy this AC, but don’t use it when it’s hot outside. Shouldn’t this be in the product description? Shouldn’t one know BEFORE buying? - Wheels are useless. Needs A LOT of effort to move the AC if you have carpets on your floors. Therefore, it’s not truly portable. You can’t easily move it from window to window, and you might need help to get it to the window you want to install it in. Can’t comment on wooden or tile floors. - Manual states “If the machine is shut down in the cooling operation state, it needs to wait for three minutes before it can be turned on automatically”. And that is exactly what it’s been doing. You set it to cool and pick a temperature. When it reaches the set temperature, it turns totally and completely OFF. Three minutes later, it turns on again, then off. Without switching to fan mood in between. Why is this a problem? Well, you know when you first turn on white noise? You notice it at first, then it blends into the background. It drowns out all other annoying noises and helps you sleep, work, study, etc. Even when it’s loud, you don’t notice it until you shut it off. That’s what this AC does. It turns on with a LOUD white noise, then it turns COMPLETELY off. Doesn’t switch to fan mood. Then, a few minutes later, it turns on again. So you are constantly listing to the sound of white noise turning on and off, repeatedly. It gave me a terrible headache within the hour. It wakes me up every single time it turns off, or on. No restful sleep what so ever. I woke up exhausted and grumpy. If you want peaceful, restful sleep, this AC is not for you. - Control Panel: It sings TELALA in a loud, high-pitched voice, announcing itself to my entire building every time I press any button (panel or remote). How do you feel about your AC shouting at you every time you touch its buttons? If someone is sleeping, and you attempt to adjust the settings on this AC, you’ll wake them up. - Remote: Doesn’t sync with the panel on the AC. If you use the panel to turn on the AC and adjust the settings, then you grab the remote to change something. The settings on the panel will suddenly revert to the last settings you choose the last time you used the remote. All the settings you picked on the panel are now changed. Basically, you’ll need to stick to either the remote or the panel at all times and don’t touch the other. Although, if you want to use the temperature in celsius, your only option is the remote. - Window Kit and Hose: The hose is paper thin. So thin it wrinkles and lets in heaps of heat and sunlight. Window kit is just as bad. Thin plastic. Warps when you close the window, leaves tons of gaps, and doesn’t even fit a standard 35”-36" window. You’ll need to shed an extra $50 for a new kit. - Filter: A cheap thin layer of mesh. Never seen AC filter this cheap. Already showing signs of wear and tear and it’s brand new. - Drain Outlet: There is only ONE drain outlet. Positioned at the very bottom of the AC. It’s so low, it’s touching my carpet. No space, not even for the thinnest pan or tray. If there was a second outlet, you could easily open the bottom outlet (water won’t flow yet), hookup a drain hose, then open the top drain outlet, and THAT will cause the water to flow from the bottom drain. But with just ONE outlet, you need a yard, balcony, or other suitable place that allows for draining without a tray or hose. Many people don’t have such options. Also, when the AC tank is full of water, according to the manual, it’ll start beeping. Who’s in for a midnight awakening during a heat wave because the AC is throwing a fit? - Cooling Power: Even though I got the 14,000 BTU, and the temperature outside is only 22-c/72-f, and the room the AC is in is about 350 sq, I’m sweating! Most likely because the AC is not switching to fan mood. It just keeps shutting down every few minutes. Leaving me feeling suffocated with no flowing air or white noise to save me from my noisy neighbours like my previous AC did! Conclusion: The heat is sneaking upon us here in south California. It’s hard to believe how unlucky I got with this AC. Trapped in this terrible situation. Unable to afford another AC, and have no physical strength, transportation, or help to return it. I just want to cry. So upset. Sad beyond words. Do yourself a favor and look into other ACs from other companies. With that, I end my review and hope that it helped you in your search. Best of wishes to you all. ... show more

  • Poor window panel hose attachment.
Set name: 14,000 BTU Cooling Only
Someday, somebody will make a good window exhaust hose panel. This one sucks as do any of them I've had. The hose attachment is ridiculous. No way will it ever stay in place. I have duct tape all over the place trying to keep the hose attached to the panel. The unit itself works great however. Nice and cool air (if the hose hasn'r fallen out of the window panel again). ... show more

  • Cools my room really well!
Set name: 8,000 BTU Cooling With Wifi
I’ve been using this 8000 BTU portable air conditioner in a medium-sized room, and it’s been a solid upgrade for staying comfortable during warmer days. It cools efficiently up to about 350 square feet, and it really does a good job bringing the temperature down in a bedroom or small office without feeling underpowered. One of the biggest advantages is the 3-in-1 functionality. The cool, fan, and dehumidifier modes make it useful beyond just hot weather. The dehumidifier is especially noticeable—it pulls a surprising amount of moisture from the air, which helps the room feel less sticky and more comfortable overall. The portability is another strong point. The caster wheels make it easy to roll from room to room, and the compact size means it doesn’t dominate the space. It’s a nice option if you don’t want to commit to a window unit or permanent installation. Setup was straightforward. The included window kit and hose made installation quick, and it was up and running within minutes after unboxing. No complicated steps or tools required, which is always a plus. In terms of usability, the remote control and 24-hour timer add convenience, especially for nighttime use. The washable filter is easy to access and helps keep maintenance simple over time. It also feels safe and well-built, with the metal control box adding peace of mind during extended use. Overall, this is a reliable, easy-to-use portable AC unit that balances cooling power, convenience, and versatility. It’s best suited for bedrooms, small apartments, or home offices where consistent, flexible cooling is needed without permanent installation. ... show more

  • Effectively cools, versatile appliance that can also heat
Set name: 10,000 BTU Heating & Cooling
This unit has been incredibly useful for use since our home air conditioning unit went out. We use it on our second level where it gets the hottest. It performs very well, I was pleasantly surprised by how effective it was, it quickly and efficiently cools three bedrooms and a bathroom. It keeps the area feeling comfortable. I like that it operates quietly since it is near our bedrooms. I also love the convenience of being able to control the unit from downstairs using the app. The app is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and makes adjusting settings incredibly easy. I love it’s versatility. Not only does it provide excellent cooling, but it also includes a heating function for the colder months and a dehumidifier mode to help manage humidity levels year-round. Having all of these functions in one unit makes it a great value and eliminates the need for multiple appliances. ... show more

  • Got this summer handled!! Great AC
Set name: 14,000 BTU Cooling Only
This is amazing at cooling my living room. I exchanged this from a smaller one and honestly it is extremely reliable and portable. The exhaust hose is also shorter so it fits perfectly in the corner of my living room. The one difference I see that for me is a slight downfall is that it doesn’t have WiFi accessibility nor an app where my older one did. Either way this still works better at cooling down and keeping my living space cool. My space is on the smaller size as it was built in the 30’s so the size of this AC is perfect. The other bad part is that it is pretty loud. I have to up the volume on my TV if I sit too close to it but again it is not louder than the older one. If I had a space that was bigger then it wouldn’t matter. I think I will definitely get more value for my money than I expected. ... show more

  • Noise from unit is driving me bananas.
Set name: 14,000 BTU Cooling Only
Well… it almost didn’t “cool” but then decided to properly enter cool mode. So, it’s working. But… the noise. Terrible loud hum. Also the oscillating motor makes extra weird grinding noise at the top of the sway. If I could return, I would. Summer just started. 3 more months of racket.
