  • Best price, great pump!
Style: Signature Pro
I have never written a review on an item before, but I really felt this product warranted one! I bought this pump when I was still pregnant with my 2nd child. I had used the Avent manual pump with my 1st, and I was so disappointed. I ended up giving up on it very shortly after my daughter was born, and I knew this time around I wanted an electric one. Only thing was, I didn't want to spend $200-$300. So I settled on this. Well, let me tell you, I hadn't "settled" at all! I can't say enough good things about this breast pump. Some pros: 1. This pump gives you the option of using one flange or two. Most often I only do one at a time, but it's nice to know you can do either way. 2. It offers different cycles (speed of "sucking") and vacuum strength (how hard it's "sucking"). To me, this is a wonderful feature because you can find a setting you're comfortable with. 3. You can switch the power source from DC plug to batteries. This is great if you plan on travelling. 4. The price can't be beat. You get much more than you pay for - I would consider this pump right up there with the best of the best Medela's - which easily cost you $100 more. And the going rate to rent a pump around here is $35 a month, so if you plan to pump for more than 4 months, it's worth it to just buy this one! With a Medela, you'd have to pump for 8 months or more to make it more economical to buy rather than rent. 5. The Lansinoh brand really is good. They make, in my opinion, one of the best nipple creams around. It is also fairly easy to find replacement parts and accessories in stores (I've seen them at Walmart and Babies-R-Us). It is also pretty easy to wash, as the apparatus for each breast is made of only 4 pieces (not including the tubing). 6. This set comes with extra pieces, bottles with caps, and a few sample freezer bags. Only a couple of cons (but not enough to make it a bad review in any way): 1. It doesn't come with any sort of travel bag. But everything you'd need to bring with you would fit in an extra purse, or even your diaper bag, so I don't really see the need. 2. It is a bit awkward to pump both breasts at the same time. It is uncomfortable to hold them as directed with one arm and hand. I feel like I lose suction on the breast nearest my elbow. I don't know if this is all double pumps - this is my 1st experience with one - but it really leaves you with no hands free. And for a mom with an infant, that doesn't really work out! All in all - I would recommend this breast pump 100%. You get so much for an amazing price. ... show more

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!
Style: Signature Pro
So when I got this pump, I was having kind of a hard time pumping and having a letdown and getting my baby to eat. And so I had one from insurance, but it wasn't working for me so I got this one. And believe me, I tried a couple even like hand ones and more powerful, more expensive ones etc. This one is the only one that actually worked to get me to where I wanted to be. When i decided to get this pump, I was having a really hard time because I was pumping and I was getting milk but only about .2 oz to .7 oz And then I would have to supplement with the breast milk that I had already pumped, so I just felt really bad. This is the only pump from my journey that didn't give me clugs even when not wearing "right" size cup. Okay the review for the actual pump. This one is quiet at least I think and I was able to compare it to many others. It has the timer screen so for getting on a schedule to increase production that to me was amazing. I know people say change the parts but honestly its super durable. Small enough to take with you. I would take it with me everywhere if i was going to be away from home for more than 3 hours at the time. Personally I think its super powerful. I really loved it. I got this one when my baby was born, my baby is now 1. So I actually waited to post so you know I had time to see whats up. I hope this info helps. Love you mama and your breastfeeding journey!!! ... show more

bought this for my daughter, this pump is absolutely awesome, she loves it. It can make noise and be noisy to some, but it works really really well. • Efficient (Lanisonh vs Spectra S1
Style: Signature Pro
This pump is a lifesaver, even though there are some minor issues to consider. Pros: -The Lansinoh electric pump is small and very light, which makes it easy to transport between work and home, if you walk or use public transportation -It has excellent suction power and automatically transitions between a letdown and expression phase. You can also adjust the settings to accommodate your specific needs. I struggled to get one 3 oz bottle after pumping with the Spectra S1 for 20 minutes. I’ve gotten 5+ oz while pumping with the Lansinoh for 13-15 minutes. -The Lansinoh is affordable when compared to some pumps that cost more than $200 without insurance. I’m not sure if insurance covers the Lansinoh, though. -I highly recommend the Lansinoh if you are a beginner when it comes to pumping and you’re not sure which settings will work for your body. The Spectra is pretty manual and you may not know what works best until you try a pump, like the Lansinoh, which demonstrates how much time you need for the letdown and expression phases and how strong the vacuum should be for you. Cons: -This pump is loud, while the Spectra is quiet and discreet. If you wanted to pump while on a phone call or while your child is sleeping, the Lansinoh ain’t gonna cut it. -The Lansinoh doesn’t have a night light, while the Spectra does; therefore, again, it would be difficult to use this pump at night, while your baby is sleeping in the same room. -The Lansinoh pump parts come apart easily and sometimes while I’m in the middle of pumping. I’ll find milk on my pants occasionally and have to tighten the parts. -The Spectra S1 has a rechargeable battery, while you have to purchase AA batteries for the Lansinoh, if you want to use it when you don’t have access to an outlet Despite the cons I mentioned, the Lansinoh is my go-to pump because it allows me to easily pump the 4 oz my baby needs for each of her feedings. I was in tears using the Spectra S1 because my baby’s caregiver (while I’m at work) was suggesting that I might have to supplement with formula because she was screaming after finishing her 3 oz bottles. Overall, this pump has been a lifesaver and I’m grateful I purchased it as a backup pump. ... show more

  • Great pump for the price!
Style: Signature Pro
This pump is great and lightweight! As someone who is an over producer this works great and I feel pretty empty by the end. It's not super loud but not silent either. Very few parts to have to clean and assemble and they are all easy to reach and clean. Bonus points for being able to pump into either their bottles or storage bags. I have not tried the battery option yet but it does take 6 AA. Overall very happy with this purchase and I enjoy a lot of lansinohs products. ... show more

  • Just get it!
Style: Signature Pro
When I saw a thread on Facebook, talking about how underrated these palms are, they weren’t joking. I figured for the great price point and how much I love all the other products I have and tried, I’d give it a shot. And boy do I not regret it one bit. I have only used this twice and this thing gets more milk than my other beloved pump, RumbleTuff Ez express I got from my insurance. I got a Medela pump in style for a back up pump, and I didn’t respond whatsoever. I tried it a handful of times and never got a good pump session in with it! And that was beyond disappointing based off how many people say Medela is the best for all things pumping! But boy, did my experience change my mind. A waste of time and money. This thing is worth every penny. I have already been using the lansinoh milk bags bc I love that you can pump straight into the bag, I got some adapters that came in a box with the milk bag at my babyshower and it’s been one of my most favorite things! Well, now with this pump I can literally pump straight into the bag without the adapter…one less piece to clean and worry about. If you’re on the edge of purchasing, I would say just go for it. Compared to other pumps on the market, this price is wonderful. Their back up parts are AFFORDABLE and come in a BUNDLE! So you’re not buying everything separately or breaking the bank! I mean this is a win-win situation in my eyes. Now I am a forever lover and believer in all Lansinoh products. I wish I would’ve tried this sooner! Affordable products that ACTUALLY work! 🙏🏼 The one downside in my opinion, the flange size is too big. I have inserts but I may just be getting some other flanges bc these don’t fit my breasts very well, the shape or size. But that’s common with pumps. I’m okay with that bc this thing is more than worth it! ... show more

  • This is ok, Spectra is better
Style: Signature Pro
Update: I've been using the Lansinoh pump for three weeks, and I had the wrong size of flanges, so things got pretty uncomfortable (not the fault of the pump). Today I tried my old Spectra, which was slightly less painful (I still have the wrong sizes), BUT, I pumped 3-4 more oz than yesterday. And yesterday was a high note for the week. This leads me to conclude that the Lansinoh pump is NOT comparable to the Spectra. Even old, it still beat out the Lansinoh. So, while the is a nice, light machine, it just can't compete with Spectra for my personal output. I will try it again with the new, correct sized flanges, and do another comparison. Old review: So, for my first I used a Spectra S1. I like this at least well, if not better. I bought this, this time, because the Lansinoh hand pump was so comfortable, I wondered if their electric pump would be as comfortable. It isn't, but it's not very far off. Pros: -Much smaller and lighter -I think it is more comfortable -Very portable (uses batteries or plugs in) -Suction is just as good as a Spectra (I'm getting better output this time around, though that could be sure to other factors). -It can accept Medela flanges, so you have many more choices. Cons: -Louder (not ridiculously, but there is no pumping in secret with this thing) -No light on display (only a problem if you are pumping in the dark) -Does not come with two sizes of phalanges (Spectra does). I used my Spectra for a good 9+ months, and wanted to kill the thing by the end of it (I suspect this would be true of any pump after 9 months). It did right by me, but pumping gets old fast. This little device is wonderful, comfortable, as I like it very much (this is only my first week back to work, though). I will update if this little guy doesn't hold up for the next 9 months (I intend to nurse for at least 12 months, my baby is 3 months old at the time of writing this review). ... show more
