This is a great way to add Car Play or Android Auto to an older car, especially for such a low price point. The unit was super easy to mount with the included mounting options. I took the magnetic holder off of the "grill" mount and swapped it onto the suction base mount for my particular installation. Once powered up it's a very easy process to connect up to your phone and enjoy car play within 5 minutes. Unfortunately I did have an issue with mine after a few months, but after a few emails with the manufacturer to confirm the issue, they shipped me out a brand new unit. Excellent customer support!! I would definitely recommend this unit!

I can't really tell if portrait has an advantage over landscape, but I do like options! While aux may have higher fidelity than Bluetooth, Bluetooth has a clear advantage in being able to work with your car stereo controls. I have connected my unit via Bluetooth and I can change tracks and pause using my car's physical controls. It even gets text from the unit and displays it on my head unit. I also love that this unit has the option to get firmware updates but note you cannot use the & character if your wifi access point uses it! As far as performance goes, this unit boots up pretty fast and connects to your system quickly.

Very Solid and easy to use CarPlay, MagSafe magnets are very strong ( gps not going nowhere )screen very bright and big enough to read, Bluetooth connectivity is flawless, my iPhone and my wife android connects fast, we use google map, wise as well as other apps, speed of the apps are very good, transition night and day is useful, contacted the customer service for connectivity question , the customer service team answered me very quick and were super friendly, explained me everything clearly, very pleased with this wireless carplay and even more with the customer service

For $40 this was a pretty good purchase. I'm using this device in combination with my double din upgraded stereo in my car. Make sure you are using AUX for the best possible audio quality experience. Only downside I would complain about is the audio to visual latency on the device. When pausing or switching music it takes a good 3 seconds to switch on the cars audio system. After some testing I found out it is a result of the device itself. Most likely because it is cheaper. Honestly not a huge deal I suppose.

I bought this to add CarPlay to a 2015 Kia Soul. Returned a competitor solution and this is great. The magnet mount with the vent is strong and doesn’t move, and the ability to use in portrait or landscape is amazing. The screen size is about the same as other vehicles or you can go larger with other models. Be sure to read the instructions when installing. I do wish it included a cigarette lighter adapter that had an additional USB port for charging the phone and providing power to the unit. Using this through Bluetooth and the lag is very minimal. Very glad I found this and a great value for the money. Just please upgrade the charger to allow simultaneous power to screen and charging the phone.

I bought this to use in my semi truck instead of swapping out the stereo. Before mounting it, I plugged it in to set the settings & connected my phone so I wouldn’t have to mess with it once mounted. I was glad to see this unit came with multiple mounts & all necessary cables. I decided to use the magnet vent mount, Bluetooth to the CarPlay screen & aux cord to my stereo. The first day this worked fine for about 5 hours. The next day it started glitching after 1.5 hours. The screen went blank, then the whole unit would shut down & restart every few minutes. Eventually it stopped showing the CarPlay screen (maps, music, etc.) but I could still hear the music. When I would click on the screen's CarPlay button it would go to the menu for Bluetooth settings. Yes I used the included power cable. Yes I tried unplugging & restarting. Yes I tried “forget device” & reconnecting Bluetooth. Yes I have a new enough phone that is updated(iphone14). Yes I tried a software update on the unit(it even stopped working while trying to update). This is no good to me at this point since I use CarPlay for the maps & music control which doesn’t show up on the screen. I have tried multiple units & thought this was going to be the best one but I guess not. Also, One feature that this does NOT have but I’ve seen on other units is the ability to set audio output to Bluetooth while also having audio input set to Bluetooth which is good because you don’t need the aux cable so there’s only one cable visible (power cable).
