I own several of these reels. I believe they are the best value of all fly reels. The drag system is the same as on Lamson reels costing hundreds of dollars more. The reels are die cast and not machined from aluminum bar stock. This is not an important difference for anglers using the 5 weight line for which this reel was designed. The drag is smooth and will not jam under normal operating conditions. Save by buying this reel and spend the savings on a better rod or a better fly line ... show more
