It also lets you kind of hide things on the shelves out of the way rather than on top of the table…without them being too noticing through the slats. The stools are very simple and would need pads if you are planning on sitting for hours on them. Personally, I like the simple look and appearance of the wood/metal combo better than big cushions

This product was even better than I thought it was going to be. I am in love with it and it is PERFECT for my small dining area. I live in an apartment with a very small space designated for dining. Although it is small and fits into a small space..it seats and fits 4 comfortably. I even push my son's high chair to the head of the table and he fits comfortably as well. Shipping was great and on time. It was SO easy to assemble and is very good quality. The colors are great and there was not any blemish, scratch or damage to the table. Chairs are a fake leather fabric that is very soft and comfortable.
