  • Cleans the tank! Maybe the fish too.
Size: 7ft
Works great! I accidentally sucked up one of my angelfish! She’s fine but I was freaking out. I just kind of threw her back in the tank by flinging the suction part into the water. 😬 So there is a place where the fish can’t go up in the tube, it stops them. I can’t believe I accidentally sucked up the biggest fish in the tank. You would think it would’ve been a tetra but nooooooo Of course not, I got the angelfish 🤦🏻♀️ I used this in my outdoor pond too. It works very well have already used it quite a few times and if it sucked up a darn angelfish it can clean your tank. I don’t know why there’s bad reviews there’s literally an arrow pointing how to put it together. I am like the worst at putting things together and using them, obviously, my poor angelfish, but if I can use it anyone can. Just be mindful of where the fish are. 🐠 ... show more

  • Works great!
Size: 5ft
Just bought this for my 10 gallon fish tank. It had been getting very dirty with a lot of debris in the gravel. I am a newer aquarium owner, so I am learning as I go. This vacuum worked great!! I followed the directions, and with two squeezes the water was flowing and so was the debris at the bottom. I wish I had gotten this sooner! I know my fish will be happier. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Great for sand bottom aquariums
Size: 5ft
I ordered this 3 times before i received it and boy am I glad I kept at it... the bucket clip actually holds on to a standard 5 gallon bucket without popping off like several other styles of vacuums I’ve had in the past. I have a sand bottom aquarium and the suction power is perfect just enough to pull the detritus us and leave the sand behind. ... show more

  • Poor quality
Size: 7ft
Does not do much other than drain the water. The internal filters block whatever does get happens to be sucked into the tube. The suction power is so poor it will not clean the gunk from the bottom of the tank. Taking it apart and just using the tubing works ten times better than the equipment all assembled. Save your money and put it towards a high quality siphon cleaner. I wish I would have used it sooner and would have been able to return it! ... show more

  • Great purchase
Size: 5ft
I love this siphon! It makes water changes so much easier, I don’t have to shake the siphon up and down disturbing the entire tank anymore. It only takes a few pumps to get it going. The suction power is good, it’s strong enough to suck up bigger debris but leaves sand substrate undisturbed(unless you stick it in). I’ve only used it once so far but it seems durable and well made. It’s a good size for my 20 gallon long tank. ... show more

  • This Sucks in a Good Way
Size: 7ft
It works great. The product had a strong rubber smell out of the bag. I washed it with some dish washing soap before use and it helped to remove the smell. The primer pump works. You can control the water flow by crimping the hose with your hand. Debris gets sucked up. Make sure to check your water bucket for any animals that get accidentally sucked in. Look up Aquarium Co-Op "How to Properly Gravel Vacuum and Clean a Sponge Filter" on YouTube on tips on using the gravel cleaner. ... show more

  • Buy something else
Size: 5ft
I am not sure what this was designed for. There is a weird filtering sieve that blocks pretty much any debris from passing through the tube. If you remove this insert, the water flow becomes much better, but now there is a problem with the length of the hard syphon tube itself: it is too short, so it doesn't allow any gravel picked up from settling back down to the aquarium floor. Gravel immediately blocks the tube and you gave to take the whole thing apart, clean out the blockage and restart the process. This is the most annoying gravel syphon I have had to deal with in ten years of having an aquarium. ... show more

  • Does not fit regular 1/2 tubing
Size: 5ft
I wanted to extend the tubing and siphon the water all the way into my bathroom, but the nozzle on the parts are slightly smaller than what standard 1/2" tubing is. The original tubing is slightly thicker with a smaller inner diameter, allowing it to create a good seal. I had to use zip ties to make it work. The ball siphon works great with valves inside to start the siphoning process. The tube clip from what the product pictures show is supposed to go inwards, but this is not possible with a standard, rimmed aquarium tank. There is a plastic ledge on the inside of these types of tanks. I almost broke mine trying to put on the clip inwards. It's also very inconvenient to have to slide the slip off the hose. There should be a slit or something in the clip ring so you can remove the hose from the clip without having to slide it all the way to the bottom. ... show more
